Sound Effects

  • Sometimes you need that background sound to define the mood: The buzzy insomnia of a flickering light, a lost alien transmission, the lazy spin of a fan above, haunting radio static, the violent rush of air as you free fall into terminal velocity…

With noise sounds recorded from an incredible array of sources, if it goes hum, whir, buzz, or hiss this library has got you covered.

All natural and organic sounding makes this versatile library an outstanding resource for both film and game sound designers.

    The library includes:

    Generators and Compressors
    • Industrial Machinery
    • Radio static
    • Crackles and glitches
    • Ground hum and buzz
    • Transformers
    • Transportation cabin hums
    • Gas leaks, air leaks and bursts
    • Air conditioners
    • Fans, from tiny to massive
    • Vents
    • Elevators
    • Afterburners

    • and more…

  • The Mopeds SFX library delivers the sounds of no less than 7 different mopeds. Created in a collaboration between Sonicsalute, sound designer Rune Palving (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, 1864, and Tordenskjold), and sound designer Peter Albrechtsen (Antichrist, The Queen of Versailles, and The Idealist).

The included mopeds range from new and non-modified models, to many characteristic-sounding (old and wrecked) models – as well as one heavily-tuned moped.

    The Mopeds library contains:

    Onboard driving and maneuvering (long onboard drives) • Ambiences • Passbys • Circles • Incoming/aways • Start/stop • Revs • Horns • Fuel covers

  • The journey continues. This time we focused our attention on resonant chambers, unusual small-spaces, rooms and corridors (spiced with unique tonal character). These impulse responses will put your instruments in tight-spaces that are unreachable in the real world.

Including organic, futuristic environments and psychedelic chambers, all surprisingly fitting in a natural way. Just for this project, we pushed granular synthesis to the limits, mixing it with great sounding analog gear and a handful of our special algorithms, to make sure we delivered the most versatile and dynamics-rich product. Everything is ready for professional use, right out of the box; thanks to the precisely controlled tonality of the IRs.

You won’t find anything like this in any other place, and we are fully proud of it. Just try it.

    Details:

    • 64 impulse response samples
    • 48khz / 24bit wav files
    • Compatible with any convolution-reverb software
    • WAV + ReFill version (for Propellerhead Reason 8.3+ with 64 Combinator & RV7000mk2 patches)

  • • In Pacific Northwest: Active Nature, get an expansive collection of active ambiences from the Hoh Rainforest, a temperate rainforest on the Olympic Peninsula in Olympic National Park. Hear lonely frogs croakings and syncopated drips from moss covered branches. Hear high twittering songbirds’ joyous chirps twittering from canopy perches. Hear the soothing rush of the Hoh River from close and distant perspectives as it divides the valley and flows to the Pacific. Hear the Magical Dripping Tree, a majestic big-leaf maple covered head to toe in fog soaked moss. Hear massive drops from canopy mosses make rich plopping transients, pinging and enlivening the space of the old-growth forest.
    • This library offers you a large collection of active nature sounds from one of the wettest forests in North America. Some places on the Olympic Peninsula get over 200 inches of precipitation per year and that abundance of moisture makes for a magical fern and moss filled ecosystem brimming with soothing ambiences.

2% FOR THE ENVIRONMENT & CARBON NEUTRAL:
    • Two percent of the price of this library is donated to an environmental cause, as an “artist royalty” for the planet!
    • Carbon offset credits were purchased for the Pacific Northwest Series. Field Recording travel for these libraries was carbon neutral!

    • Energetic twittering songbirds

    • This library is a portrait of the Hoh Rainforest. The rainforest is in a long river valley, so the distant soothing wash of the Hoh River can be heard in all recordings.

  • Looking for electric car sounds? This library delivers 211 files / 162 minutes of stereo recordings of the BMW i3 electric vehicle.

The BMW i3 is a B-class, high-roof hatchback manufactured and marketed by BMW with an electric powertrain using rear wheel drive via a single-speed transmission. Its underfloor Li-ion battery pack is offered in two capacities as well as with an optional range-extending gasoline engine. The i3 was BMW’s first mass-produced zero emissions vehicle and was launched as part of BMW’s electric vehicle sub-brand, BMW i.

As of December 2016, the i3 ranked as the world’s third best selling all-electric car in history with more than 65,000 units sold since its inception.

This very quiet car has been recorded using onboard DPA-4060 microphones, to capture the engine and tyre sounds. The different surfaces are gravel, asphalt and rumble strips on the highway. The interior sounds have been recorded using the Zoom H5 XY microphone. There are also contact mic recordings of the wheel housing using Schaller mics.

Passby sounds have been recorded using Line Audio CM3’s in an XY setup as well as the Zoom H5 XY microphone. There are passes on dry and wet asphalt as well as gravel at different speeds.

Finally the engine has been recorded using the Elektrosluch electromagnetic microphone, resulting in 33 minutes of electromagnetic madness in 96 kHz.

I sincerely hope you will find this sound archive useful!

    Best,

    Morten

  • Water & Ocean Sounds Unfathomed Play Track 400+ sounds included, 118 mins total $33

Don’t be afraid to jump off the deep end and explore those murky depths.

Carefully recorded and designed, Unfathomed brings you rich sonic audio assets to compliment your underwater and ambient textural projects. A wide assortment of performances await, comprised of impacts, raking, scraping, bursts, bubbles, pressure, suction, and many more all enacted underwater in various vessels of different sizes and materials.

There are two types of content in this library: raw hydrophone recordings and designed assets created solely from those recordings. • Featuring 38 pristine nature recordings from remote locations across the U.S., Biophony delivers a diverse collection of ambient environmental sounds. Delivered in 24-bit/96kHz FuMa Ambisonics format as well as stereo, this library contains amphibians, sea animals, insects and other wildlife interacting within distinct biomes. Use these sounds to enliven your nature scenes with a rich, authentic ecological backdrop.

To capture these sounds, recordist Jason Strawley and videographer Andrew Garraway traveled to four states from Florida to California with the goal of capturing a variety of ecosystems including swamps, ponds, and forests. The result is a dense collection of vibrant wildlife recordings brimming with life. According to Strawley, one of the most difficult aspects of the process was finding locations unaffected by human intervention, be it noise pollution or the overarching effects of climate change. In his own words:

“Human-made noise pollution foiled many a recording, forcing us to travel to more and more remote locations. We should all be advocating to preserve more wild lands, but it’s not just about the land – we need to preserve the soundscape and darkscape as well. Some national parks are doing a great job with this and I hope we can contribute to awareness in some tiny way.”

Each sound file is embedded with rich, descriptive metadata to help you find the exact ecosystem and animal recording you need. Biophony is also included in Pro Sound Effects’ CORE: Pro.

    Key Features:

This collection contains everything from monsters, dragons, dinosaurs and toy soldiers all the way to giants and ghostly whispers, providing perfect audio content to spice up your film, tv, audiobook and game productions.

All of the sounds are meticulously edited, meta tagged and UCS compliant, so you can find the right sounds you need and drag them straight into your projects. In addition, all the files are available in 24 Bit 192 kHz for further sonic manipulation and design (you can pitch and time stretch these to bring further interest and put your own stamp on to the effects).

  • In this sound pack I’ve included an in-depth selection of active ambiences. This library is focused more on the natural ambience of both busy main streets and calmer side streets.

Most sounds were captured below 110 St. and prominently in the Lower East and West Village. There are a multitude of police and firetruck sirens at varying distances as well as some not so common areas like the Intrepid Pier and the Hudson River Heliport ambience.

I’ve also included some extensive subway rides. All boring bits were edited out for a strong final product. There are multiple train rides with various levels of walla and PA announcements.

One thing that is very common in NYC during the summer months are the rain and thunderstorms. I’ve included a number of wet traffic, distant thunderstorms and heavy rains.

All in all this is a good representation of New York’s streets and subway systems.
