  • The Rare Animals library from Pro Sound Effects is a collection of unique animal sounds from field recordings around the world. They have been meticulously edited and mastered for cross-industry sound design usage from games to mobile/interactive and traditional film/broadcast.

The Rare Animals sound effects library was built from one principal aim: To find, nurture and release rare animal sound effects into the wild. Pro Sound Effects sourced the nature catalogs and archives from its existing global partners for the rarest field recordings, the most unusual of which were hand-selected by Brooklyn Sound Society‘s Neil Benezra to remaster and restore. This collection of animal effects was edited and optimized for game and interactive industries in mind, so most are shorter, trigger-able sounds. The library also contains a collection of ambiences—longer, environmental sound effects that can be further edited, or used as backgrounds. Rare Animals is also included in Pro Sound Effects’ CORE: Pro.

    Key Features:

    • Over 1,000 unique recordings
    • Optimum restoration, noise reduction (using the Cedar plug-in), equalization and mastering by Brooklyn Sound Society
    • Detailed metadata, including species categories, descriptions, plus the time and place of each effect’s recording
    • Hand-picked rarities, from high-caliber archives and historical catalogs
  • This in-depth and enormous library was originally created with video games in mind but became much more detailed over time. Most of the props were used on multiple surfaces, with multiple versions. This avoids sounding repetitious. Props range from Grabs, Drops, Rolls, Slides, Crinkles, Shakes, Handling, and much more.

There are no footsteps in this compilation, however, there are over 3000 versatile sounds.
This well recorded Foley library is very perfect for all media content.
The total amount of files in Essential House Foley is over 3200, offering a large dynamic range in props used.

Recorded in Burbank CA, we used state of the art equipment and computers. The sounds have all been captured and mastered in Pro Tools, and kept natural sounding, by edited and mixing with very light and natural sounding compression and limiting.

  • Take your projects on a journey through time with the sound effects from our brand new library, Antique Gramophone. Sounds created in this pack are from a genuine antique portable gramophone, manipulated in our acoustically treated Foley suite. Included in this pack is each of the wanted characteristics from an antique gramophone. Including; the needle sliding off the track, hand cranking, record scratches, slowing and speeding up the record and movement of the actual case itself.

Film-makers, Composers and sound designers alike; each sound within this library can be utilised creatively within any film or video game project. All sounds have also been recorded in 24Bit 96kHz and made UCS compliant with extensive metadata, helping to speed up your workflow and stay on track within the organisation of your session.

Each sample delivered to you will give you an authentic, historical gramophone sound. However, the high sonic quality delivered in this pack gives you the freedom to sound design to your heart’s content, letting your imagination run wild throughout history.

  • Environments & Ambiences Quiet Spaces Play Track 47+ sounds included, 139 mins total From: $25

In films and documentaries there are often images of people in spaces speaking to other people, who are listening attentively.

The recordings of the person doing the talking are pristine from the set. The recordings of the rest of the room don’t exist. Room tones of empty spaces don’t possess movement and life that your soundtracks require for these situations.

Quiet Spaces is a collection of recordings of people gathered in rooms of various sizes and not talking

Libraries are a natural place to capture these environments, and so a high quality stealth kit made from a pair of Sanken CUB 01s discreetly placed from a backpack onto empty tables in various libraries. We also got access to a university campus right at the end of finals week where we recorded out in the open with a pair of MKH50s in ORTF. We captured an entire class taking a test, as well as various other lightly and sparsely populated spaces in and around campus.

    Locations captured include:
    • 5 different public libraries
    • multiple perspectives per library
    • 6 locations on the UNT campus
    • 1 class quietly taking a written test

The end result is a beautiful set of recordings of quiet spaces that are still filled with texture and movement.

  • Whether your need to bring a lone rogue to life or a surge of arrows in an epic battle scene, Nocked will provide you with a plethora of flexible content.

Our largest library to date, this collection is a comprehensive focus on the sounds and functions of the archer and the act of archery. Included are eight recorded bows (2 crossbows, olympic recurve, traditional recurve, longbow, long compound, short compound, and Magyar bow) with 2 additional ‘mythic’ bows of our own design, each using 3 types of arrows (aluminum, carbon, and bamboo) on 3 varying surfaces (hard, soft, and dirt) from 4 simultaneous recording positions (at bow, at target, midflight mono, and midflight stereo). Each bow and each arrow type have a character all there own.

The content’s dynamic range is wide, from whispering bamboo arrows gliding on rests as they are drawn to firing position, to the powerful THWACK of crossbow bolts striking their target. All non-firing sounds were recorded in a controlled studio environment while all recordings of the bows being fired were taken on a plot of wide-open rural farmland, encompassed by forests. When needed, this ambient natural environment provided an ideal impulse response to be used in the design and editing of some of the sounds to create a heightened effect.

Included are a wide array of archery actions and Foley:
    Nocking and unnocking arrows
    Drawing
    Firing (loosing)
    Mid-flight pass-bys
    Releasing / relaxing a draw
    Impacts on targets
Arrow and accessory Foley (handling, selecting, gathering, dropping, etc.)

A multitude of takes are provided across each bow/arrow/surface/position combination for easy randomization and differentiation of sounds, or to track any number of unique archers at any given moment.

Go ahead, let them fight in the shade.
