    As part of our Ambient Sound Series focusing on the specific, distinct Soundscape of Singapore, we went on a journey to capture high definition sounds of the city-state.

    Scaling high above the city’s skyscapes all the way down to Singapore’s busy streets, we captured the sound of rain unique to the city-state, all in this extensive library.

    Singapore Ambiences – Rain is a collection of high definition sounds of the unique rain ambience of various locations in the country. From light drizzles to heavy apocalyptic tropical thunderstorms with rolling rumbles and cracking booms of thunder included. Recorded by a team who have worked on projects for Marvel Studios, Universal Studios, Riot Games and the Discovery Channel, these recordings are clean, accurate and of high quality.

    Like all IX Sound Libraries, this collection is meticulously edited and embedded with detailed descriptive metadata utilising the Universal Category System (UCS).

    This collection is compatible with Soundminer, Pro Tools, Basehead, AudioFinder and other popular sound effects library search engines.

    The files will be delivered in Stereo/Mono Wav format at 24bit, 48kHz.

  • Psychedelic Cicadas Vol. 2 is the second in our series of cicada ambiences produced in collaboration with César Rodriguez Pulido and Guile Martins.

    A huge variety of cicada species were recorded in Cerrado, Brazil for this series. The creatures’ unique pitches, tones and rhythms combine to form strange, beautiful choruses ideal for affective soundscapes, atmosphere design and abstract creations. These recordings are further enriched with the sounds of Cerrado denizens; birds, oxen, dogs, crickets, frogs and insects were captured during thunder and rain storms, in the forest and by a river.

    Need airport sounds and ambiences? This collection provides good coverage of the common and domestic areas of a modern airport. In total, 19 different recording locations inside the Norwegian airport of Gardermoen have been recorded. A picture from every location is also included for reference.

    All files that contain PA announcements have added metadata with a short description of the message. This makes it easier to find the correct announcement for your project. The majority of the announcements are done in both Norwegian and English which is convenient for non-Norwegian speaking sound editors.

    Gardermoen airport is the largest airport in Norway, located 35 kilometres northeast of Oslo. Gardermoen is the main international airport in Norway and acts as the main domestic hub. It is also the second busiest airport in the Nordic countries, connecting around 30 domestic and 120 international destinations. In 2014 more than 24 million passengers traveled through Gardermoen.

    From the creaking and clanking of the tanks to the glorious and soaring JAS, and all the way to the brutal tank cannon and machine guns. This pack contains all ingredients for nasty machine warfare. All of the files were recorded during a military drill performed in front of a live audience.

    •DPA 4060s were used under the strings of the guitar to capture more overtones. In a few cases, I combined a DPA 4060 and Sennheiser MKH 30 and matrixed it as mid/side for a unique perspective.
    •Bowed guitar clips were recorded in ORTF.

    •Named markers are included in each file to help find interesting events in files with multiple variations.
    •Markers are included in the Soundminer and BWAV description fields starting with the prefix “Marker Text”.
