Sound Effects

  • Geophonic Design Vol. 3 features an eclectic array of designed sound effects, built from organic sources with infrasonic frequencies that go all the way down to 10Hz. This library has an abstract aesthetic and gives you a wide and varied palette of unique sounds that are perfect for injecting a little movement into your film, video game or documentary projects.

To create the sounds in this library, Our Audio Craftsmen used a ‘Geophone’ which is a seismic measurement device used to record seismic waves and vibrations of the earth. With the Geophone, we recorded low vibrations, hits and interactions of wood, metal, trees, soil, clay and other natural ingredients. You can expect to find a wide selection of unique ambiences, as well as an assortment of warm subsonic hits and dynamic movements and whooshes.

All of the included sounds were then precisely edited and designed by our dedicated in house team to build ambiences such as boulder movement, metal ghost voices, spirits calling, subsonic water texture, tree bark connection wind interference and many more. In addition, all the files are available in 24Bit 96kHz with extensive metadata and are UCS compliant to integrate seamlessly with your workflow.

The sounds will also make a great addition to your library as layered textures, to build a designed atmosphere in your projects, and are perfect as drones and ambiences for futuristic, sci-fi and horror scenes.

  • The Air Designed Library is filled with sounds specifically manipulated by our Audio Craftsmen to simulate various aircraft noises. Some of the sounds include; engine whistles, rumbles, thrusters and much, much more. Perfect for Action & Sci-Fi set pieces, this Library can not only be used for aircrafts, but it can also be used in various other scenarios like; air conditioning, explosions and time manipulation to mention a few.

  • Eastern European Wetlands is our new sound effects library, made in collaboration with our friend and acclaimed field recordist Georgi Valchev from West Wolf Audio.

These real-world locations include wetlands, marshes, swamps, forests and city outskirts, and features a diverse line-up of wildlife local to each area.

Our team of audio craftsmen have edited and processed each sound with the upmost precision, so that you can drop your sounds straight into your project timeline and get down to work with minimal fuss.

All files in this library come at a sample rate of 24Bit 96kHz allowing for further sonic manipulation, and have been tagged with extensive UCS compliant metadata for ease of use.

  • Introducing a bold new take on Wood and Metal Creak SFX that will help you bring your project to the next level.

As sound enthusiasts, we were keen to bring something new to the table for this category of sound…and so a novel recording approach was created to produce the sounds for this library. Due to the incredibly subtle (and not so subtle!) audio details embedded in creak sounds, a recording environment is required with particularly effective sound isolation. At the same time, a high level of control over the variety of surface type and performances of the creaks themselves is needed. Our MacGyver recording engineer Phil found a solution that produced a setup within which we had isolation, control, and variety… the “Creak Box”.

The Creak Box is able to capture the most detailed essence of most resonant surface types, and has multiple stages of tension with which the performer of the creaks can play with. Happy with the source sounds that were being created – which is always the most important stage from beginning to end – we found that a multi mic rig was needed. To really get the depth and detail of these creaks we found that the best results were achieved by using a spatially tweaked-up microphone setup using the contact mic LOM Geophon, a pair of cardioid Sennheiser Mkh8040s, and a shotgun Rode NTG3. The best recordings always come from testing multiple mic positions, and experimenting with input levels and mic positions; this sound library brings you only our best takes.

As sound designers, we always need new, better, varied material. We want to feel excited by and connected to the sounds we use – enjoy and make it yours!

Wood: Old wood stairs, doors, floors, ships, houses, twisting and bending wood, chairs, tables, fences, and more.

Metal: Big and small doors, small squeaks, huge resonant duct and convector surfaces, chairs, benches, wires, bedsprings, and more.

(The video bellow contains added room tone to show some of the sounds in context.)

  • HARMONICS is a new designed sound collection that explores the inner beauty of resonating metals to create an extensive set of inspiring sonic material for sound design and film scoring – proudly presented by SampleTraxx.

Metal happens to have the right combination of speed of sound and decay. Different metal shapes produce a broad spectrum of soundscapes and tones.

HARMONICS investigates this hidden magic by designing and layering these unique timbres.
The result is an extensive set of designed evolving textures and designed metal elements which are great to create sound cues in minutes, metal hits, passby-reverses and evolving drones.

The nature of this soundpack doesn’t call for compressor or maximizer. Close attention has been paid to preserve the original dynamic excursion of each sound and fully enjoy its natural vibration and evolution.
Having a wide dynamic range guarantees more freedom in layering and arranging different elements to create endless variations.

The sonic material contained in the pack is all presented in a designed fashion and different levels of design are provided: from simple elements to evolving multilayered soundscapes and textures, all based on metallic sources. No external sounds apart from metals have been added to the mix.

    Features:
86 Designed Textures and Elements (dur. up to 1’10″)
37 Hits (Hi and Low Designed Hits)

  • Mechanical Sound Effects Windmills Play Track 27 sounds included, 62 mins total $20

This is the windmills sound effects archive from Morten Green Sound FX

27 soundfiles of totally 62 minutes of sound in 96 kHz 24 bit.

The windmills recorded in this archive are 6 old 45 metre tall windmills, generating electricity on the coast of the small Danish island Orø. They are rather old and worn out, so they generate a lot of interesting noises, especially when you get very close to them.

The structures are from metal, bolted into a concrete foundation with small openings, so you can actually get the microphones underneath the reverberant structure itself, for sounds from inside the windmills. The blades are made from glass fibre and pretty worn, so they give a lot of nice whistling noises.

There are recordings from many different distances to the windmills, ranging from 150 m to right underneath the windmill structure.

Most of the sound files are more than 2 minutes in length.

    Enjoy!
