The Sci-Fi Weapons library delivers more than 2000 futuristic weapon shots, charges, ricochets and other related sounds.
All of them were designed using exclusively recorded Foley sounds, synthetic layers, various sound manipulation and morphing techniques.

Recorded from an old scrap Honda Accord 97 that has clocked in more than 340.000 km (211.000 mi).

Each sound has been meticulously edited individually, all files were recorded and are delivered in 24bit 96kHz Broadcast Wave files, all embedded with metadata information for easy import and ensure a fast and easy workflow.
Scrap School Bus is one of our smaller libraries, but it contains many interesting files that are well-worth hearing.
It includes sounds of the buttons and switches on the dashboard, the door handle and the sliding door opening – a total of 78 sounds are included. Each sound has been meticulously edited individually – and all sounds are metatagged.
Scratches library is a comprehensive library of 700 recordings of scrapes, cuts, scuffs, peelings and rubs. This high-quality collection of versatile sounds will make skin crawl and hairs stand on end.
The idea behind this project was to gather a wide assortment of objects like saws, scissors and chalks, and to record their acoustic interaction with surfaces such as wood, glass, metal, concrete and gravel. We even came to vandalize a few musical instruments (snare drums, oriental percussions, cymbals and more) with hammers and knives in order to capture weird noises and unique musical qualities.

It contains engine start ups and stops on land and in water, steady rpms, blips, slow and fast take offs, ramps and reckless driving. The recording length is 16 min 1 s.
Sea Monsters from The Library by Empty Sea is a collection containing over 4000 sound effects for creature vocals. This collection weighs in at a whopping 9GB!

The Seagulls sfx library includes 28 tracks of both single, isolated seagull screams, and bigger flocks of nesting seagulls, calling out to each other and their chicks. There are plenty of classic call sounds, but also some weird throaty and raspy screaming, and what could sound like seagull laughing sounds.
All tracks are recorded with the very useful zoom function of the Telinga microphone and dish.
Library includes both untreated tracks, and noise reduction processed tracks in two separate folders. Noise reduction processed tracks have carefully been cleaned up with a CEDAR NR system.
Though these birds are in an abundance around most harbours and industry around here, they are not always easy to record. You mostly hear them from a distance, or from places not easy to access. When you try to get close to them, they will usually fly away.
Many hours have been spent on rooftops, gardens, backyards, a junkyard, and different harbours to get this material.
Get the sounds of the sea – captured at different beaches along the Japan coast and the French Normandy coast. Recorded at the marina, pier, harbor, bridges and beaches, the SEASIDE library delivers around 50 minutes of waves, water, seagulls and more. All recordings are AB ORTF stereo, and there's a mono center added in some cases to deliver a LCR format.
Seaside Nature and Waves is a collection of 48 atmospheres of seashore nature. It is recorded in the Greek part of the Mediterranean Sea and the Bulgarian part of the Black Sea. Inside you will find forest atmospheres abounding from birds and sea songs far in backgrounds to insects and other natural sounds typical of the regions. The second part of the library is assigned to the sea. There you will hear waves that are recorded from different distances and emotional states of the sea. You will feel the power of Mother Nature in the waves breaking up in the rocks and the stormy sea foreshadow an autumn storm.

There's a whole lot of rattling going on in this library – from objects on a ferry to furniture, glass, plastic, vans and some serious subwoofer shakes. Oh, and the mandatory hospital bed shake, of course.
It's time to seriously shake things up, earthquake-style.
The need for these types of sounds came when we had to create various objects being shaken during an earthquake. In Shakes and Rattles you will find various objects being shaken in multiple ways. Shakes and Rattles includes 751 sounds in 37 audio files embedded with detailed metadata, and each audio file starts with short shakes and progresses toward medium and longer shakes.
Shanghai is a fascinating and lively city, full of contrast – a mixture of old and new, with towering skyscrapers looming over winding residential lanes, with streets full of rattling old bicycles and electric scooters, with noisy trucks rolling alongside almost silent electric cars.
The elevated highways that cross the city give certain areas a dense, constant rumble, while the city’s many parks offer a range of sounds, full of people and activity during the day, and generally quite empty at night – offering a diffuse, distant sonic perspective of the environment.
This library contains many of the everyday sounds of the city, with a variety of on and off-street recordings, interior and exterior walla, park and bird atmospheres, restaurant interiors, traffic, and even a range of metro recordings. While some of this library’s sounds are quite specific to Shanghai, the majority could be used in other large city environments, particularly in but not limited to those cities where Mandarin is the most common language.
All recordings were made with a pair of Lewitt LCT 540s microphones in an ORTF configuration. These microphones have extremely low self noise and a wide, balanced frequency response, allowing for the detailed capture of a range of sounds, from distant and quiet to close, loud and chaotic, from the deep rumble of engines to the supersonic screeching of brakes. Recorded at a sampling rate of 96kHz, these recordings contain detailed information above 20kHz, expanding the possibilities for sound manipulation by slowing and pitching down the recordings.

It contains glass and porcelain being smashed, rustled, trickled and dropped from two different microphone perspectives! Shard's intended use is for anything icy, glassy and porcelain-y.

Shenzhen is the first ever sound library of the Silicon Valley of China. Jzoo Sound invites you on the first ever audiological journey to the unique locations in Shenzhen that only locals know.
This is a unique collection of sounds captured of various atmospheres at different times of the day. From energetic local farmer’s market, to howling subway tubes, to local middle school performance day, to old alleyways of a forgotten part of town.
The library also contains many rhythmic elements, such as meat chopping, construction hammering, and ominous beeps. Not to mention the echoing Chinese announcements between two schools, and the cacophony of crying and construction in a forgotten alley. Introducing the Sherman M4A3 World War II American medium tank sound library, equipped with a Ford GAA V8 engine. This sound bundle includes 183 96 kHz/24-bit recordings in a variety of mono and stereo perspectives totalling over 25 gigabytes of audio. The vintage military vehicle is detailed in 16 exterior and 12 interior channels with coverage of starting, passing by, approaching, departing, stopping, and onboard driving at various speeds.
The package includes extensive synchronized elements needed to recreate the sound of this medium tank for feature films and game audio projects. An Altiverb IR preset created from a sweep inside the tank is also included.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
