This is a recording of the unmistakeable 1943 military Dodge pickup with its six cylinder and 72 horsepower engine. This eight-minute recording consists of engine starts, idling, revving, and engine stops, a stereo drive-by and driving at various speeds and on different road surfaces. In this sound pack you get four channels: left and right interior, engine and exhaust for detailed recordings of this WWII treasure.
This library is all about picking stuff up and putting it down, whilst you rub your beard, pop pills and type with your toes. It's a collection of foley sounds that we always seem to need, but often can't find. Each track includes multiple movements of the object in question. The recordings are mono and unprocessed, so they sound natural and can be easily placed in your stereo field.
All tracks recorded with a Sennheiser 416 microphone, through a Buzz Audio – Elixer preamp.
Need the sound of vehicles passing by? This sound pack is a composite collection of pass-bys, featuring (Suburban-, Passenger-, Freight-) Trains, Trucks and Cars that I on various freeways and railroads. These sounds come in handy not only for for the obvious purpose of giving the right sonic feel for trains, trucks and cars passing by – but also as design elements ans a great starting point to create a vast number of sci-fi style whooshes and pass-by effects.
This sound library gets you the sounds of groats and grains, and includes the rustling, crunching, breaking, rolling, rattling, trickling, pouring sounds of sugar, peas, pearl barley and macaroni. It’s the 1st installment in a larger series called Grains. There are 378 high quality sounds included, recorded and designed in 24 Bit/96 kHz, using an Oktava 012, DBX-386, Digi-003 and Reaper.
The terrifying sounds of re-imagined dinosaurs that are ready for the hunt and hankering for your Jeep tires!
This library has 74 sounds of pterodactyls, velociraptors, brachiosaurus, and – of course – the infamous Tyrannosaurus Rex, with multiple growls and roars (processed and raw) from each terrible reptile.
There are also distant takes to help you build tension as these predators approach. For angry and hungry dinosaurs, look no further!
This library features the original Hummer with the model name H1. The Hummer was originally designed for military use, the Humvee M998, but became popular also on the civilian market. This vehicle has the bigger V8 turbo diesel engine with 195 horsepower. The recordings consist of eight onboard channels, four engine, two exhaust, interior left & right and twelve exterior channels. It contains startups, idle, shutdowns, blips, steady RPMs, accelerations and decelerations, passbys, approaches, aways, and more.
Sometimes you need that background sound to define the mood: The buzzy insomnia of a flickering light, a lost alien transmission, the lazy spin of a fan above, haunting radio static, the violent rush of air as you free fall into terminal velocity…
With noise sounds recorded from an incredible array of sources, if it goes hum, whir, buzz, or hiss this library has got you covered.
All natural and organic sounding makes this versatile library an outstanding resource for both film and game sound designers.

Prepare for shivers! Frozen Footsteps is a huge library of winter footstep & foley sounds recorded on 8 expressive and cold surfaces in real -20 °C (and below) temperatures.
Containing over 2400 sounds in 81 files, Frozen Footsteps foley sfx library is created for game and film sound design. If your game needs winter footstep sounds, or you are missing some authentic source material to take your studio foley tracks to the next level, this is the library for you.
All surfaces were recorded in real movement with multiple walking and running velocities. Frozen Footsteps library includes also real jumping and landings sounds. Jumping sounds are often missing from other foley libraries, but are extremely useful for creating character movement sounds for games. This package gets you covered.
7 surfaces were recorded during two freezing winter nights in a quiet rural area in Finland. Everything from ground to trees was totally frozen and covered in frost. However, snow hadn’t fallen yet. This special moment allowed recording footsteps on unique surfaces that are usually under snowpack. To make the package complete, the frozen snow sounds were recorded later, with real crusty snow. In freezing temperatures, as well.
All sounds were carefully edited in iZotope RX and Pro Tools 12 removing the background and clothing noise. This was quite a task, but it was worth it. This makes the sounds extremely clear, versatile, and easy to use.
Library highlights:- 8 frozen surfaces
– 2400+ sounds in 81 sound clips
– Sneak, walk, run, jump, slide, scuffs, and more
– 96 kHz, 24-bit stereo WAV files
– 1.20 GB
– Carefully edited & noise-free
– Soundminer & BWAV metadata

Harbours Of Norway sound library features 25 files with ambients recorded in Myre, Sto and Nyksund, very small towns with direct access to the sea. Most of the sound effects were recorded at night, but since it’s a polar day time of the year, it was very pleasurable to walk and look for convenient places to set up my gear. Everything was recorded with an ORTF setup built from two Sennheisers MKH 8040.
Inside this library, you’ll find a lot of seagulls, waves crushing on the rocks and plants, windy ambients from the cliff, industrial sound from port in Myre with ship unloading the cargo, walla with steam engine boats and additional sounds from the boat engine market, and air cooling aggregates from food containers.
Every file was recorded in 96kHz, edited (I removed any unintentional bumps, pops and unwanted sounds). I limited EQing to removing harsh frequencies, or enhancing a little bit the good sounding ones. At the end of the chain there is a small compression, for louder sounds.
“Sense” is an exciting collection of textures to enrich the sonic world of your Sci-fi production. If you need that extra ingredient when you are creating a dense and deep Sci-fi atmosphere, this library can help you to achieve that.
Movements, atmospheric elements and energies are some of the things you will find in this pack of sounds. Sounds with a strong and futuristic feeling, elements that are a great addition to your collection.
Categories:Atmospheric element • Energy • Feedback • Glitch • Impact • Interference • Movement • Robotic
In addition to being a great library for Horror or Sci-fi games and movies, this collection works well for trailers too.
Recorded throughout 4 parts of Italy (Rome, Naples, Positano, Tivoli Gardens), the 3 hours and 45min of material gives you a large variety of sound to choose from.
Every city/town has signature sound of its own. The constant hum or “Din” of a city varies. Rome is known for its many scooters, motorbikes, and church-bells.
This library is made up of various location Dins, and small side-street ambience.
Of the 60 tracks, a majority are over 4 mins. and some are 5 min in length. There are sections that rival others, but overall there is a large selection to pick and choose from.
Of course I've edited out all the rough areas, and material of no consequence (the boring bits) to tighten and heighten the clips, and make them sound interesting.
The processing used is minimal. DMG EQ, C4 Compressor, and a little noise reduction in some cases. Mostly very transparent processing. There may be a moment or two where there is a wind bluster, but because of the nature of the track, I chose to minimize instead of chop out.
When looped, these abstract ambiences & drones seem to rise or fall endlessly.
All sound files are included in the Unreal Ambiences library and:

We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
A Sound Effect is a great resource for keeping up on what's out there in the SFX library world. The site is well organized and it's easy to find stuff.

We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.

I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
