  • This is a unique bicycle library that captures this characteristic bike in clean, quiet, nicely performed true exterior rides. Including multiple perspectives, speeds and actions. From fast passbys on asphalt to slow onboard recordings and smooth stops.

The UglyBike is a typical old bicycle that’s working fine, but needs some TLC. It is a bicycle that’s just average, a little rattle a gentle scrape, a bike that everyone has had but got traded in for a newer one. A story of unrequited love.. :)

    Speeds and actions:
Three speeds. Departures from slow, medium to fast getaways. Arrivals from slow stops with gently squeaking handbrakes to heavy stuttering skids.

    Five perspectives:
    1. Onboard Front: captures the whirring tire and surface sound.
    2. Onboard Pedal: nice overall combination of pedaling, crank creaks, chain rattle, tire and surface sounds.
    3. Onboard Rear: close up sound of the rear axle, with chain, sprocket and switching of gear.
    4. Tracking shot: mono recording of the passby, keeping the bike in focus while passing by.
    5. Static XY shot: stereo recording of the passby that emphasizes speed.

Overview of perspectives and mic placement:

Onboard recordings are 2-3 minutes long depending on speed. Higher speeds > shorter duration.
All 3 onboard mics are edited in sync with one another to make layering easy.
All Passbys, Arrivals and Departures move from Left to Right.

    Metadata & Markers:
Because we know how important metadata is for your sound libraries we have created a consistent and intuitive description method. This allows you to find the sound you need easily, whether you work in a database like Soundminer/Basehead/PT Workspace work, or a Exporer/Finder window.

However, we are aware that some people have different needs for different purposes, so we’ve created a Metadata Reference Guide that explains the structure. And because we’ve automated the metadata proces, you can be confident that a ‘find & replace’ command will always replace all instances.

    Download our Metadata Reference Guide

    Download complete metadata PDF

If you have any questions about this, contact us!

Additionally, we added Markers to some wave files, so specific sound events are easy to spot in Soundminer or other database apps.

  • UK Small Town Bundle contains five libraries with more than 124 sounds including ambiences, room tones, vehicles and unique sounds captured in northern England. With a total runtime of 328 mins and a file size of 10.68 GB, the libraries cover a variety of areas like canals, housing estates, shops, markets, traffic, parks, forests, industrial estates, interiors and much, much more.

Our Audio Craftsmen traveled through beautiful and incredible locations around Greater Manchester, documenting the everyday life of a UK local, perfect for adding that natural charm to your films, games and tv series (particularly those based in Europe). Some sounds include people, with British accents speaking English, and some speaking other European languages, while many sounds do not contain people, which makes for a wide variety of uses for the effects.
You will be saving almost 50% on the total cost of the individual libraries when purchasing this bundle, an excellent value for money addition to your general sound effects libraries.
All files are provided dry in 96kHz 24Bit to allow for further manipulation. Furthermore, all the sounds in the library are extensively tagged with metadata and are UCS compliant making it easier to find the right sound you need.
  • Screaming Vol. 2 is a sequel to one of our most popular sound effect libraries to date. Unlike other libraries out there, we recorded small loop groups of voice actors covering situations where a single voice is not enough and a large crowd is too much for the scene. Furthermore, we captured extended performances in each file, giving sound editors the flexibility to use these effects in a large variety of situations. This collection contains group screams and shouts, covering everything from party and gig crowds all the way to battles and massacres making it a great addition for sound designers to their general audio collection and can be used in films, video games, TV productions and other projects.

Our Audio Craftsmen recorded performances of our in-house voice artists using mono and stereo microphones to give you maximum flexibility. We have captured various screams and shouts of a TV audience, crowds at parties, gigs, sports stadiums, armies fighting battles, teens being massacred, people burnt alive, a crowd being attacked by bees, a group falling to death, people being trampled by an elephant, couples fighting each other and much, much more. We have also included additional variations of long and short group screams and sequential screams.

All of the sounds are meticulously edited, meta tagged and UCS compliant, so you can find the right sounds you need and drag them straight into your projects. In addition, all the files are available in 24 Bit 192 kHz (without reverb) for further sonic manipulation and design (you can pitch and time stretch to create monster voices or high pitched creatures).

We have used a variety of male and female voices, capturing different variations of almost all types of group screams needed for your projects, which saves you from hiring expensive voice actors and loop groups.

This is the most extensive and faithful capturing of a ‘Bell’s style’ vintage telephone available anywhere online.

All sounds were recorded in 24Bit 96kHz allowing further sonic manipulation in our acoustically treated Foley suite. We then meticulously edited and tagged the files with extensive UCS compliant metadata for ease of use.

All sounds are delivered in 24Bit 96kHz format allowing further manipulation and have been meticulously edited and tagged with extensive UCS compliant metadata for ease of use.

  • Two Typewriters. Protectograph. Adding Machine. Sewing Machine. Vintage Cigarette Machine.

The sound enthusiast in you will love to know that we scoured around the city/internet to collect a bunch of antique mechanistic objects for this sound collection. We even scored an old classic adding machine and a working antique pedal sewing machine! The gears and mechanisms in this odd assortment of old machines is from a beautiful and rich bygone era of manual movement, of strange and fascinating ideas from inventors creating moving parts that are simply unproducible in modern day gadgets.

Your ears spring to life as you listen through, one by one through these highly detailed and engrossing audio recordings that capture brilliantly the foreground and midground layers of the small moving parts. Perfect for older weapon Foley, for steam-punk machines, period piece machines, industrial era machinery, and on and on. A small vintage gear crank, that special metallic rich clickety-clack of a dusty old mechanism, the ribbon typewriter scrolling…

To get the most out of this collection of old mechanisms, we used a multipositional close mic-ing approach for these in order to get all those tiny moving details. Of course, they required that they be captured in our smallest studio used for precisely these low-noise environment sort of recordings – key in bringing the detailed three dimentional quality of these mechanisms to life.

As sound designers, we always need new, better, varied material. We want to feel excited by and connected to the sounds we use – enjoy and make it yours!
