• In Northern Rockies: Miniature, get a mini-nature collection of ambiences from the mountains of Montana. Hear hallowed halls carved by glacial sculptors. Hear quaking Aspens and Ruffed grouse drumming on hollow logs. Hear euphoric dawn choruses, merry songbirds, sacred stillness, and stately woodpeckers knocking on forest doors. This library gives you a small collection of both “quiet” and “active” nature sounds from the continental divide of North America.
• Only 26 glaciers (of the 150 in 1850) remain in Glacier National Park and all are predicted to melt within 30 years. Hear the sounds of this stunning natural cathedral while the glaciers remain. The ecosystem won’t sound the same when they’re gone.

Have you heard about fractals, if so then you probably know that they can be used as art; to an almost-infinite detail creating mind boggling patterns. Luckily, it so happens that one of our core team sound-designers is also a well known fractal artist.
With the help of “photo-synthesis” and “spectral-manipulations”, we extracted the unique impulse responses straight out of some of the most mathematical pieces of art we have ever seen. These visually insane patterns resulted in some truly unique sonic experiences, which we have been unable to find anywhere else. More importantly, now you can add an extra layer of complexity and dimension to your sound with the easy-to-use impulse responses.
These are not the typical reverb tones that can be found or created, in most already-existing convolution reverb plugins.
Think about these Mathematical Impulse Responses, as unique effects and textures, a sound designer’s’ paradise. Make your math-rock mathematically richer than ever before, or give your EDM a new harmonically otherworldly twist, go where you want to go without the fear of being held back by the tools you use.
We here at Sonner Sound have collected a wide range of buttons, switches handling noises, cranks and dials, both old and new. There’s over 500 sounds collected in 68 files, so something here for everyone! Regular household buttons such as light switches and computer mice and some more experimental in steampunk style. They’re recorded at 96 kHz and 48 kHz at 24 Bit (both Stereo and Mono) with rich meta data. Recorded with Sennheiser MKH50 and DPA 4017.
• In Pacific Northwest: Storm Waves, get an expansive collection of storm waves from Rialto Beach, a driftwood filled shoreline of Olympic National Park. Hear massive 25 ft swells breaking and sea foam froth sloshing on rounded pebbles. Hear violent slurping as water is sucked out after each massive wave. Hear wave resonance tuned to perfection by driftwood logs a millennium old. Hear distant storm buoys droning their ominous warning and bats circling with ultrasonic clicks. Hear a coastline gradually eroded by Pacific waves. A place where massive spruce stumps are still rooted in the beach, desperately holding to the earth as the soil is stripped from their roots. Press a contact mic to one of those stumps and hear the heartbeat of the ocean. The vibrations from crashing waves move through rocks and roots to create stunning resonances in the wood! I hope this library gives you a chance to hear the ocean in a way you haven’t heard it before. Enjoy listening to a large collection of storm waves from one of the most iconic beaches in North America.

Looking for electric car sounds? This library delivers 211 files / 162 minutes of stereo recordings of the BMW i3 electric vehicle.
The BMW i3 is a B-class, high-roof hatchback manufactured and marketed by BMW with an electric powertrain using rear wheel drive via a single-speed transmission. Its underfloor Li-ion battery pack is offered in two capacities as well as with an optional range-extending gasoline engine. The i3 was BMW’s first mass-produced zero emissions vehicle and was launched as part of BMW’s electric vehicle sub-brand, BMW i.
As of December 2016, the i3 ranked as the world’s third best selling all-electric car in history with more than 65,000 units sold since its inception.
This very quiet car has been recorded using onboard DPA-4060 microphones, to capture the engine and tyre sounds. The different surfaces are gravel, asphalt and rumble strips on the highway. The interior sounds have been recorded using the Zoom H5 XY microphone. There are also contact mic recordings of the wheel housing using Schaller mics.
Passby sounds have been recorded using Line Audio CM3’s in an XY setup as well as the Zoom H5 XY microphone. There are passes on dry and wet asphalt as well as gravel at different speeds.
Finally the engine has been recorded using the Elektrosluch electromagnetic microphone, resulting in 33 minutes of electromagnetic madness in 96 kHz.
I sincerely hope you will find this sound archive useful!
Best,
Morten

Beef up your sound design with the ferocity of Gators – from beastly bellows and monstrous growls to aggressive hisses and vicious jaw snaps. This one-of-a-kind, exclusive speciality library delivers stunning alligator sound effects ready to add power and intensity your audio projects.
And “one-of-a-kind” is no exaggeration. There’s a reason you will not find a similar collection dedicated to alligator or crocodile sound effects anywhere else. These sounds can not only be dangerous to record, but they are extremely difficult to capture as alligators are typically very stealthy, quiet creatures… except during mating season.
Luckily, recordist Colin Hart embarked on several excursions to the swamps of Florida to develop a method for cueing the monstrous sounds from these cold-blooded beasts – so you don’t have to. After seven years (plus a mangled blimp, destroyed boom pole, JBL baby stroller, and a couple testing subwoofers from Boeing), these incredible alligator recordings are now available for your own projects.
In addition to bellowing mating calls, warning hisses, terrifying snarls and more alligator sounds, the Gators library also provides partially submerged hydrophone recordings as well as marsh and bird ambiences.
Add this rare secret weapon to your sound design toolset and give life to creatures, monsters, dragons, dinosaurs, crocodiles, and other beasts. The organic immensity of these sounds also make perfect layers for explosions, thunder, fire, engines and more. Gators is also included in Pro Sound Effects’ CORE: Standard.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
