A mini library for the Series 2000 SFX collection featuring water balloons hitting various surfaces, and various handling – from impact splashes, rolls and bounces, to metallic thuds, rubber stretches and dripping.
This sound effects library is all about those bubble sound effects. Water bubble sounds from plastic, metal, ceramic containers – long, short, speedy, slower, distant and close bubble sound effects. More than 500 sounds in total.
This collection contains recordings of stream, river and small waterfall sounds, with close and distant perspectives of slow and turbulent flows. More than 80 minutes of high quality (24bit/96kHz) material recorded at various locations and delivered in an easily downloadable .zip file.
Each recording is between 0:30 and 5:30 long and intended to serve those who want to build calm or dynamic soundscapes which show variations on several time scales.
Water Flow took six months to create, and offers 90 BWAV files recorded in different locations. A huge part of this library is based on the recording sessions by (and in) rivers. Most recordings were done during the winter just before sunrise, to reduce the amount of unwanted sounds.
Almost all recordings are completely clear and free from any birds in the background.
The first location was river called Łyna, and there I’ve recorded a sound of water flowing at different speeds, along with the sound of a dam reducing the speed and height of the river’s flow. The second interesting part of this location was the amount of fallen trees in the water, causing the water to split. Because of this, there was a lot of sonically interesting places to record.
The second river is called Guber, and it’s much smaller than Łyna. I’ve picked this place because of the really subtle water streams, and something even more amazing, natural dams built by beavers. The amount of work these animals put to built those dams is incredible.
In addition to recorded rivers, this library also includes the sound of water dripping inside underground sewers. During one of my field recording trips I discovered a hatch. I could not resist to go inside, and what I discovered there was far beyond my expectations. I made a two small trips there to record it from different distances, with different microphones in mono and stereo.
Recorded by a quiet Swedish lake in late summer of 2014, the Water Movements sfx library is filled with splashes, drips, walking/running, moving, small water creature simulations, and much more.

‘Water Streams One’ is the first library in my ‘Water Streams’ series that explores the bubbly and roaring sounds of rapids, rivers and streams found all around Finland.
The library consists of 19 unique sounding locations ranging from large rapids to tiny streams. Most of the content was recorded in quiet Northern Finland locations and I even visited the Oulanka National Park to record its famous large roaring rapids.
Due to challenging and hard to access locations I decided to record the library with portable Sony handheld recorders utilizing ORTF and XY techniques.
The average length of each file is between 2-4 minutes so you can easily create your own loops for video games and other media.
You get the sounds in two formats: 96 KHz 24 bit and in 44.1 KHz 16 bit, for more convenient ways of utilizing the sounds in games and other media.
The Water Volumes SFX library gets you over 300 sounds of natural hot-springs, bubbles, and liquids of various densities boiling under the effect of dry ice.
A large amount of content was recorded during two weeks spent in the city of Furnas, Azores, where volcanic hot-springs of all kinds are active. Other recordings were gathered with the use of dry ice.
Most recordings will contain energy up to 96 KHz as they were recorded with a Sanken CO-100K at a 192KHz sample rate. Others were gathered with the use of an Acquarian H2A, Sennheiser MKH8040, 416, a Sony D100 and a Tascam DR-05.
The collection was recorded over a trip to Sao Miguel, Azores, and several other recording sessions in the UK.
‘Wave Break Vol.2’ is a compilation of 50 recordings (286 minutes total) capturing the natural sounds of the sea breaking on land. This library follows on from ‘Wave Break Vol.1’ but is uniquely different as it only features stereo recordings from Taveuni, a tropical Island in Fiji.
‘Wave Break Vol.1’ is a compilation of 50 audio files that capture the natural sounds of water breaking on land. There are 42 main sound effects with 8 bonus water sounds totaling 230 minutes and most are 5 minutes in duration. 'Wave Break' features recordings from beaches, coves, reefs, sand dunes, rocky platforms and headlands – recorded in Sydney, Australia and Taveuni Island, Fiji.

We are the People is a sound effects library filled with protests chants from the 2012 NATO protests in Chicago.
Two locations give this library two aurally unique crowd environments. The downtown protests reflect off the surrounding buildings, giving them a neat urban quality, while the Ravenswood protests give the impression of a more open environment. Groups of protesters in unified chant ranged in size from just a few to perhaps 200 or more. Many of the recordings have wonderful builds, starting with one or two voices and grow from there, in both size and intensity.

Wetland Atmosphere is a collection of pristine ambiences recorded at wetlands, marshes, bogs, lakes and other similar areas around Europe.
The library consists of 33 recordings ranging from 3 to 10 minutes in length, available both as stereo and surround. The recordings have been captured with a Sennheiser Double Mid-Side rig which was left out overnight in remote locations. This was to make sure that man-made noise and human interaction was kept to a minimum.
The library is accompanied by a comprehensive species list covering 68 birds and 7 amphibians in total.
Highlights include Bitterns with their booming calls, Common Loons and their wails being reflected off of trees, geese, ducks and swans making a racket, the insect-like clicking of Savi's Warbler and the incessant croaking of various frogs and toads.
This library is all about wheels – and lots of them! Includes recordings of a selection of objects with wheels such as carts, transport stretchers, gurneys, rolling stands, shelves, IV stands, wooden tables, wheelchairs – and all the button clicks, slides, latches, and electronics that come with them.
All sounds were recorded in Mid/Side technique with mid on the left channel and side on the right. Recorded with Project Studio C4 mics, Sennheiser 416 Mics, Ambient Emesser, on a Fostex FR2 2 track recorder and mastered in Pro Tools.
The left side of the RAW files can be used as a MONO center effect and the encoded files as a stereo effect which has the width of an XY configuration and can be panned center for a mono compatible mix.

The Wheels & Gears SFX library features a collection of bicycle tire, freewheel, gear and chain recordings. Two bike models were recorded: A Specialized Carve Expert (mountain bike) and a Bianchi Campione (city/road bike).
A wide range of sounds were recorded, from conventional bike sounds (such as freewheel clicks, gear shifting and chain movements, acceleration with various speeds, coasting, and disc brake movements) to more experimental sounds, creating unique sound effects using various found objects on the tires and spokes (such as cardboard, wooden sticks, fabric, shoe soles, guitar picks, and paper).
Recordings were captured with a Sanken CSS-5 Shotgun mic. The shotgun microphone was mounted in a full Rycote windshield kit and connected to a Sound Devices 702 recording at 192khz. The contact mic recordings were captured with the Barcus Berry 4000 Planar Wave system.
Sometimes you need that background sound to define the mood: The buzzy insomnia of a flickering light, a lost alien transmission, the lazy spin of a fan above, haunting radio static, the violent rush of air as you free fall into terminal velocity…

Some sounds have been eq'ed aggressively to enhance the feeling of being indoors, but very little processing has been applied otherwise. You'll hear a bit of hiss here and there; I left it in because I felt noise reduction would take away too much character in those specific cases.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
