The Ferrari F40 LM (Le Mans) sound effects collection features 335 clips in 21.65 gigabytes of audio. The sound library showcases the sound of a 1991 version of the Italian luxury sports car’s V8 3 litres, double water-cooled F1 turbo engine with 720 hp and a 5-gear transmission.
A total of 20 synchronized takes depict both onboard and exterior perspectives. The 9 exterior perspectives arrange microphones at multiple locations and distances to record departing, arriving, passing at slow to fast speeds, as well as starting and stopping, and backfire. The 12 interior perspectives arrange microphones at the exhaust, engine, and in the interior to share recordings of driving at steady RPMs, with gearshifts, and ramps. Three mixes of the interior perspectives are also available.
The package includes Soundminer, BWAV, and MacOS Finder metadata in every clip, as well as Reaper and Pro Tools mixing sessions.
This sound collection covers a wide range of sounds produced by this colorful characteristic car. Not only extensive driving sounds but also foley (doors, windows, body tapping, …), horn blasts and engine loops. All in high quality 96/24 BWAV-files, recorded with high end equipment.
The recordings are multitrack. For the onboard recordings you’ll find synchronized recordings of engine, exhaust, cabin. For the roadside recordings you’ll find an ortf stereo pair (on a stand) and a long shotgun mic (handheld, tracking movement)
The Fiat 500 sound fx collection features 263 clips and 17.73 gigabytes of the 2016 Abarth 595 version of the Italian vehicle. The collection gathers 18 synchronized takes of the car’s 1.368 L l4 turbo engine with 158 horsepower and a 5750 Akrapovic exhaust system.
The sound library includes both onboard and exterior perspectives. 10 channels from microphones mounted in the engine, interior, and at the exhaust depict driving at slow, medium, and fast speeds. Performances include steady RPMs, gearshifts, and ramps. The 18 exterior channels share 9 perspectives of the small car starting, stoping, departing, passing, and approaching on straightaways and around corners.
Each track is embedded with Soundminer, BWAV, and MacOS Finder metadata, with bonus metadata import files for Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. The collection also includes carefully mixed quick-access, all-in-one blended stereo versions of the interior, exhaust, and engine stems. The Fiat 500 library is packaged with Pro Tools and Reaper sessions with all fx pre-aligned to allow editors to begin mixing and editing immediately.
Fiat Panda 169 sound library delivers vehicle sounds of a usual mass production car. The featured model was manufactured in late 2009 and has run about 40.000 miles at the time of recording. With the small 1.1 litre / 55 HP engine it is a lively compact size city car for daily use. The rear muffler already showed some rusty traces of age so that the entire car emits some very characteristic sounds, especially from the exhaust.
For the library the Panda was recorded to 18 takes with 6 onboard mics. These takes feature the car in various driving situations on asphalt, dirt road and gravel. Each take comes as Reaper set with time-aligned tracks from 2 mics in the engine bay, 2 interior mics, 1 wheelhouse and 1 exhaust microphone.
The exterior sounds – that encompass engine on, off, acceleration, approach, stop etc. – are recorded with Sennheiser MS Setup.
Additional foleys of doors, switches, wipers, windows, seat belts etc. are recorded separately with the car´s engine turned off.
Looking for real fart sounds? ‘Fifty Shades Of Brown’ by WW Audio features 50 disgusting, comedic, and 100% genuine real farts. Great for comedy, pantomimes, or any time your project simply calls for a bit of flatulence.
Whooshes are a key component for energy and drama in a fight scene, but can sometimes be over the top. So I recorded a simple but very useful library of cloth moves specifically for fights. They work like whooshes but sound a lot more natural.
Three different fabrics: jeans, nylon shorts and a cotton pillow case. All with the same coverage: grabs, single moves (varying intensities), sequenced moves for more variation, and struggling moves for when your character is pinned.
Fight Vocalizations is a sub-library from the more complete “Universal Emotes”. All the files in this library are already included in the Universal Emotes Library.
There is here 20 actors/20 folders, from all ages (kids, teen, middle-aged, elderly), male & female.
You will find the material you need to “soundify‟ combat/fight scenes or to insert into your fighting/action video game software.
Included in this library, Filmless Film Camera, are sounds recorded using a Canon TX film Camera taking pictures, rewinding, manually changing the Fstop on the lens, lens cap, opening and closing the back, and more! This pack includes both 96kHz and 192kHz versions, both exported at 24 bit, and both have 26 audio files. All metadata tagged using Basehead, recorded using the Sennheiser MKH8050 and MKH30 to the Sound Devices Mix Pre-6 and exported as Mono and Stereo.

This fire collection is about small and unusual burning material. Here is great material that will fuel a large fire. Torch sounds recorded inside and outside. Flame with carbide chemical fire and Nitro gas burning. Pure flame sounds that become massive when slowing them down. And a gas flame thrower that will burn you down. Always ambisonic, definitively immersive.
Fire Burning Stove is a 30-minute collection of fire ambiences. With 21 files to choose from, the library was recorded throughout the life cycle of a fire. Featuring multiple variations, examples include the initial start up, full intensity and even down to the last dying embers.
Using both closed and open door perspectives, typical fire traits such as whining, crackling and popping can be heard throughout. A number of recordings also include the metal of the stove expanding/contracting due to to the heat.
Short of incinerating the recording gear, the library was recorded using a close mic'd perspective. With a minimum of 1 minute recorded per file, Fire Burning Stove was also entirely produced with looping in mind.

Fireworks frankly are a difficult thing to record due to a mixture of legal restrictions, location, and price. This little collection are all sorts of novelty and aerial fireworks shot in a very remote desert with no birds, bugs, cars or anything of the sort, recorded at 192 with a spaces pair of Sanken CO100k microphones in close proximity for pitch and speed manipulation.

A collection of fireworks sound effects, mostly recorded from the launching area, close to the mortars for some big booms and fuse sounds. Of course you will find classical fireworks atmosphere here too. And if you are looking for rocket sounds or loud blasts, you should try slowing them down.

'Fireworks From Paris' is a sound library, recorded as Paris was celebrating the Bastille Day on July 14th 2016. The firework recordings are divided into categories such as tiny explosions, middle explosions, and powerful explosions. The library features both solo explosions, as well as multiple blasts. It comes with 2×138 recordings, in stereo as well as UPMIX 5.1.
Get the sounds of switches, buttons, knobs and handles – recorded inside an old, retired flight simulator donated to the Danish Technical Museum.
This machine used to make aspiring pilots sweat in their seats, putting them through all sorts of mechanical failures, emergency landings, and just plain flying.
There is basically a switch, button, knob or handle to start every single possible emergency situation a pilot and crew may encounter when flying.
When the sound recording started, some of them were partly broken, and others missing, some did not turn or switch, but most of them were still there and worked beautifully. The variety is surprisingly great, and very different from today's modern switch sounds.

The Floppy Drives sound effects library features recordings of seven computer disk drives: two 3.5″ floppy drives, one 5.25″ floppy drive, three Zip drives, and one SuperDisk drive.
All drives were taken apart to access and manipulate the stepper/eject motors to create unique sounds. These range from electronic percussive bleeps and glitchy noises, to electromechanical motor movements.
An Arduino UNO microcontroller board was connected to one of the 3.5″ floppy drives, allowing precise control of the drive’s stepper motor via custom software code. A midi keyboard was interfaced to the system, giving the ability to control the back-and-forth movement of the read/write heads via notes on the keyboard. This essentially turned the drive into an instrument, producing a new set of sounds not existing in the drive’s normal functions.
This library was created to provide designers with drag and drop sounds for sweeps, fades, surges, swells, and other embellishments. Each of the sounds in this collection were designed to be used to heighten events, but they can be mashed, stacked, and chopped to create all sorts of eclectic designs. There are plays on musical concepts as well as thematic events, with each sound purposefully building up, culminating in a peak moment, and then dissipating in some way. They are organized into 100 families (designs) with 5 variations each, ranging wildly in topic, movement, duration, dynamics, attack, release, loudness, density, and speed. Some are natural and organic while others are completely rigid and synthetic (and some fall variably in between).

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
