  • The Rare Animals library from Pro Sound Effects is a collection of unique animal sounds from field recordings around the world. They have been meticulously edited and mastered for cross-industry sound design usage from games to mobile/interactive and traditional film/broadcast.

The Rare Animals sound effects library was built from one principal aim: To find, nurture and release rare animal sound effects into the wild. Pro Sound Effects sourced the nature catalogs and archives from its existing global partners for the rarest field recordings, the most unusual of which were hand-selected by Brooklyn Sound Society‘s Neil Benezra to remaster and restore. This collection of animal effects was edited and optimized for game and interactive industries in mind, so most are shorter, trigger-able sounds. The library also contains a collection of ambiences—longer, environmental sound effects that can be further edited, or used as backgrounds. Rare Animals is also included in Pro Sound Effects’ CORE: Pro.

    Key Features:

    • Over 1,000 unique recordings
    • Optimum restoration, noise reduction (using the Cedar plug-in), equalization and mastering by Brooklyn Sound Society
    • Detailed metadata, including species categories, descriptions, plus the time and place of each effect’s recording
    • Hand-picked rarities, from high-caliber archives and historical catalogs

  • Made in collaboration with Robert Pepper from EffectsWorks, The Horrorphone is a unique and disturbing cinematic Kontakt library built from 460+ sample recordings of a custom built percussion/effects instrument. Played with a bow, beater, and hands triggering the most horrifying and uncomfortable stingers, drones, hits and much, much more.

Our Audio Craftsmen meticulously edited, balanced and programmed 48 different patches and integrated them into our Kontakt interface, giving Film Composers and Music Producers a suite of unique textures to use in their tracks. These sounds are perfect for horror scores, trailer percussion loops, rhythmic tension, electronic music and film score cues with an element of atonality.

The Main Articulations include: Percussion, Cymbals, Knockers, High Mid and Low Hits, Metal Bars, Shakes, Springs, Wood Vibrations and Various Drum Kits.

But we didn’t stop there… As always with our Kontakt library releases, our in-house Composers designed an eclectic array of designed patches. Pads, arps, drones, EDM leads, horror alarms, pulses and even screaming cymbals give the user both tonal and atonal material to layer with their percussion, and build a haunting, metallic texture into their sound.

The 344 Audio Kontakt interface provides a variety of controls that encourage experimentation with the patches. The built in Arpeggiator is great for generating hundreds of percussion/lead variations on the fly, while the Main View provides a set of parameters perfect for shaping the sounds your way.

Kontakt 5.8.1 or higher is required.
NOTE: This library does not run in the free ‘Kontakt Player’

  • A killer antique accordion full of paper crinkles, key clacks, sick sounding wheezes and old wood creaks. The antique accordion was rescued from a local antique shop. It has a hole in the bellows that creates a distinct wheezing sound, and it is loaded up with strange squeaks, pops and paper textures.

We rolled on this instrument for about an hour, and did everything from flicking the keys to dropping and pounding it. The accordion took some abuse, but in the end what it gave back was a wealth of old sounding textures you can’t fake.

This instrument was recorded at 24 bit 96k, in dual mono – with an AT4050 for a wide perspective and a Schoeps CMC6.MK4 for a close perspective. Comes with 57 .wav files and 19 Kontakt .nki files (the .nki files require the full retail version of NI Kontakt 4.2.3 or later)

Note: Can be used without Kontakt too!
All Kontakt instrument libraries include fully unlocked and accessible metadata tagged .wav files. You don't need any version of Kontakt to use these files as a standalone sample library.

  • This library is a bit different from the rest.  Dx (“Diagnostic”) is a grouping of different audiometric and audiological elements in a neat, diversified package.  Our goal was to aggregate audio tests from multiple disciplines and build them into a one-stop-shop collection that most sound designers, engineers, researchers, and artists could utilize as a mainstay in their audio toolbox.

In this collection you will find sets of: binaural beats, audiometric sweeps, full frequency sweeps, multi-spectrum noise, spatializations, resonance tones, impulses, dynamics tests, intermodulated distortion tests, aliasing tests, phase tests, and a few fun examples just for kicks.

These diagnostic sounds are provided in 96kHz/24-bit, 48kHz/24-bit, and 44.1kHz/16-bit resolutions.  There are various length and loudness combinations as well, so you don’t have to edit these files to use them for their intended tests.  That being said, this diagnostic audio can also be used very quick and precise ways in layered SFX designs.  Because they are so specific in their development, they can be used with an automatic mathematic disregard…and that, is a good thing.

    Quick, clean, and precise.  Enjoy.
