The Polonez 1500 police car sound fx library features 649 clips in 28.01 gigabytes of audio. It showcases the sound of a 1984 Polish FSO car with an inline 4, four-stroke engine running at 75 horsepower.
The collection includes 30 tandem takes from onboard and exterior perspectives, as well as 4 stereo mixes of the engine, interior, onboard, and siren tracks. Ten exterior perspectives document driving at slow, medium, and fast speeds while departing, passing, arriving, and starting and stopping. The 1970 Volvo Amazon police car sound effects library gathers 468 clips in 17.5 gigabytes of audio. Also known as the Volvo Canadian, the collection depicts the Swedish vehicle’s B20 straight 4-cylinder engine in 38 takes.
The car’s engine, exhaust, intake, and interior are portrayed in 8 onboard perspectives via 12 channels of audio. Fast, medium, and slow exterior maneuvers such as arriving, passing, and departing are captured at 4 discrete locations using 8 perspectives and 17 channels. Very in-depth recording of a Porsche 911 SC 1981 with the 3.0 liter engine. It is rated 204 horsepower at 5900rpm. The car has the 5-speed 915 gearbox. The recording includes all kinds of driving at different speeds, cruising, startups, shutdowns, reversing, driving at constant rpms, various accelerations and decelerations, ramps and even faked unsteady bad driving. Lots of foley is also included like doors, hoods, switches and knobs, horn, seatbelt, electric windows and more.

Here is the thunder I recorded in 1988, to DAT with an ORTF pair of Schoeps MK-4s, which includes a strike from ~12′ away! Hair standing up on end and everything. You may know some of this material as what I released through “The Hollywood Edge Signature Series” back in 1993. Well, a lot has changed. More than half the material was then unusable back then due to rain ‘ruining’ the recordings. Not so with Izotope RX 7 Advanced. Rain? What rain? Not a drop survived. Not. A. Drop.

Who doesn't love the sounds of speed? In this library, you'll hear the fast, harsh sounds of a drift car skidding on tarmac. The library contains skidding with engine running, skidding with engine switching off, skidding on wet tarmac, roll bys on wet and dry tarmac, spinning in circles, rolling with flat tire and much more. Both onboard and exterior perspectives are covered, and several microphones were positioned at each wheel, inside the car, and along the skidding path.

This library consists of two different sessions where we dropped cars from a crane onto other cars and onto the ground. The first session contains lots of windows being smashed and sounds of car body debris from two hanging cars scratching against each other. During this session, microphones were positioned inside the vehicles as they were dropped from the crane as well. The left side of the onboard recorder comes and goes, but we decided to leave it in the library since it has some very nice bits in it.

Animal Hyperrealism Vol II is a library containing sounds themed animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 2000 individual sounds in 283 files.
The sounds were partly recorded with animals trained for media production, partly recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: amur leopards, bottlenose dolphins, californian sealions, pacific walruses, red ruffed lemurs, owls, parrots, dwarf little fruit bats, hamsters, guinea pigs and many more.
The content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image.
A special section of the library features samples recorded at 384KHz. For these sounds an additional microphone was employed, specifically the CMPA by Avisoft-Bioacoustics which records up to 200 KHz. This microphone was actually used to record most of the library but the 384KHz format was preserved only where energy was found beyond 96KHz not to occupy unnecessary disk space.
All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these for mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.
The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
