Metal Bars & Bells: 49 shimmering, oscillating bell-like sounds from various metal objects.
No actual bells were harmed in the making of these sounds – but several other metal objects were. Crow bars and stainless steel soap trays are some of the sources of these beautiful, resonant sounds; ranging from clear, distinct glockenspiel-ish, to shimmering, modulated otherworldliness. If you've ever wanted to add square tubular bells or wrought-iron percussion to your mix, then this is your thing.
• Clean, high quality sounds
• All files trimmed to start, for ease of use in samplers
• Several variations per recorded object = organic and expressive productions
• Metadata included in CSV and ODS (OpenOffice) formats
• Add delay & reverb, put on headphones and…Heaven…
This release features 873 screams, shouts, moans, grunts, hisses from female/male humans, zombies, monsters and creatures. Fantastic for horror, suspense, thrillers, action movies and games
All sounds are 100% dry. Reverb was just applied for the demo.

Gone is the era of the typewriter, when the cacophony of countless typebars striking the platen could be heard emanating from every office building, but with SkewSound’s QWERTY Sound Library, you can recreate those days. We used an electro-mechanical typewriter from the 1970s to create this library.
This allowed us to get some unique sounds that simply can’t be created with an older, mechanical typewriter.
In this library you’ll find some stellar machine gun-like mechanical sounds, impacts, sweeteners, motor hums, and more mechanical switch and button effects than you’ll know what to do with.
• Recorded, edited, and delivered in full 96kHz/24bit high definition audio
• Every performance was multi-mic’d, providing you with a greater range of tonal qualities to modify to your hearts content
• Over 35 minutes of audio
• Fully embedded Soundminer metadata
In the winter of 2013-2014, both the Northeast and the Northwest were slammed with snow, ice, wind, and blizzards. The SkewSound team braved the frigid cold and recorded what we could: footsteps, compression, breaking ice, body falls, and much more.
Our content was obtained during storms and their aftermath in Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, and Salem, MA. The frostbite SFX library contains some great impact sweeteners and sounds unique to winter temperatures. You won’t be disappointed!
Another electromechanical-focused library from SkewSound! Our reel2reel Sound Library features a professional tape machine from the 1980s. We captured all the sounds this little (well, actually quite large and heavy) piece of gear could create.
DC motors, servos, tape spinning, metal impacts, and more can be found within this library.
And if you are on the hunt for some huge, analog style mechanical buttons, you should hear what this library has to offer.
You get 1,074 individual sounds, in 14 separate soundpacks containing variations on all the sounds.
Included are all commonly required sounds needed for a comprehensive UI experience.
This library consists of hundreds of performances (581 files total) of toy whistles, clown and bicycle horns, slide whistles, melody pops, party blowers and squeeze toys.
Metadata has been meticulously added, and the material in this library is ready for immediate inclusion in your sound designs. Have fun!
• 581 broadcast wave files
• All at 24 bit, 96kHz
• 4.81 uncompressed gigabytes of audio data
• Most takes include stereo, mono and distant microphone perspectives

Doom Drones contains more than 3Gb of eerie, doomful, dark, atmospheric field recordings, designed drones and backgrounds. Perfect for something in the realm of a David Lynch film, ambient music production, a horror film, or just to set the mood of a foreboding soundscape.
Each artist made 60 custom loops for a total of 120 loops. With SoundMorph focusing more on field recordings and subtle tonal design and Arovane focusing more on dynamic synthetic textures and sound design. Both perfectly suitable as layers or final assets, depending on their use, Doom Drones is a great addition for anyone wanting to enhance dark ominous moments.
All field recordings were captured with a mid/side stereo setup consisting of 2 Schoeps CMC6 bodies, Schoeps mk5 & mk8 capsules housed in a Rycote AE windshield running into a Sound Devices 722.

Ths library delivers a huge collection of quadrophonic hockey crowds from every perspective. And hockey crowds are different from other pro sporting crowds:
The NHL mandates that the music has to stop during play, which leaves every gasp, oh, and cheer free and clear of PA induced pollution.
This wrinkle in the rules of play means that pro hockey games are the ideal setting for recording arena crowds for any situation.
Our hockey crowds were recorded over the course of an NHL season and were done with unprecedented access. Entire games were recorded from various locations including:
– on the camera platform
– in the upper level seats in the hallway
– outside the doors pre and post game
– in the platinum level bar
– under the bleachers
– from the top of the penalty boxes
Each location was recorded in beautiful dual ORTF or double MS quad.
The end result is an immersive sound set that has been carefully edited and fully tagged with metadata. Finding the elements you need is simple and direct.
Pick this library up today and cover your arena crowd needs in style.

A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
