The 4020 Retro EQ is a four-band EQ and complimentary filter set. The HF and LF bands are shelving EQ, with two additional parametric EQs at the HMF and LMF bands. All EQ bands operate on a unique gain dependent variable slope/Q system for a vintage smooth sound and increased boost/cut frequency selectivity high gains. The HPF and LPF filters use a unique split-octave design giving a 12 dB/Oct slope near the selected frequency, and a maximum slope of 24 dB/Oct.

The Audio Hero Police collection features 60 professionally recorded sound effects, ready for use in your productions. Included in this library are police cars, sirens, handcuffs, batons, whistles, helicopters and much more! These sounds are all hand-picked from the Sound Ideas General HD, Emergency, Classic TV and Digiffects libraries.
Add depth and ferocity to your scenes and creature designs with the untamed energy of Wildlife Collection: Bengal Tiger. With 150 vivid tiger sound effects and vocalizations, this pristinely captured specialty library delivers a wide variety of tiger recordings that are ready for naturalistic use or manipulation for sound design applications.
Featuring the expressive sounds of a middle aged female Bengal tiger, recordist and sound effects editor Chris Diebold (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Transformers: The Last Knight) captured this collection at 24-bit/192kHz using multiple microphones, including the Sanken CO-100K, which has a frequency response of 20Hz – 100kHz. This makes the natural and characteristic sounds of the tiger ripe for pitch processing and control over your sound design. Use the high-quality recordings of deep growls, gnarly crunches, and heavy chuffs to design your beasts, creatures, monsters and more.
In addition to the raw recordings, this collection also contains designed and “hyped” sounds, ready to drag-and-drop directly into your monstrous designs and animalistic scenes. Each sound file is embedded with rich, descriptive metadata for fast, intuitive search results to help increase efficiency and sustain creativity. Wildlife Collection: Bengal Tiger is also included in Pro Sound Effects’ CORE: Standard.
Recorded in the woods, two pit bull families. These guys are all playing, but they sound totally fierce. Compress a little, pitch down a little, all fun.
These are wonderful recordings of dogs. Very scary very vocal very violent. Really good deep growling with lots of character. Just a joy to design with.
Nuts and Bolts contains a huge array of DIY and construction themed sound effects featuring tools that are used by tradesmen such as hammers, saws, chisels and spanners, as well as several other miscellaneous tools such as brushes, tape, filler guns and of course, nuts, bolts and screws.
As well as hand-operated tools, Nuts and Bolts gives you several power tool sound effects being operated at different intensity levels. All of the sounds in this library have been recorded in context, meaning that they reflect how you would actually use the tools, not just how they sound in a controlled studio environment. We recorded close, distant and far recordings to capture natural reverb, giving you the maximum flexibility when searching for the right sound for your projects. We also recorded dropping effects for most of the tools.
Nuts and Bolts contains a total of 145 files (with lots of variations per file) including a designed folder of 10 sounds. This library gives you everything you need to create compelling DIY and construction soundscapes, ideal for use in a range of sound design applications including building sites, mechanics garages, joinery, metalwork workshops, painting, decorating, and demolition based scenes. All sounds have been recorded in 24bit 96khz, and have been carefully edited so that you can easily drop them into your project timeline and get working right away.
Here are the included folders:
Power Tools: Lovely and disturbing drills, saws and electric sanders, perfect for becoming a noisy neighbor.
Hammers and Mallets: Hitting and dropping things as hard as possible makes a lovely sound, great for building trailer impacts.
Toolboxes: Heavy and metallic rummaging through a large toolbox.
Spanners: Turning bolts and spinning ratchets.
Saws: The seminal DIY sound effects of sawing wood.
Pliers, Grips and Screws: Micro details like these can make or break your construction scenes.
Chisels: Hitting chisels, planing wood, and scraping.
Pencils, Brushes and Tape: Drawing, brushing, measuring.
Misc Tools: Vacuuming, cutting, sanding, moving ladders and many more!
Designed Effects: A suite of heavily designed sounds which demonstrate the flexibility of the library when used for sound design.

One of the best recordings I have ever done. These are 15 or so 500 – 600 Lb Pigs getting angry at me for recording them. For me, these are beautiful and for sound design, they are the best.
What else can I add to this? It’s literally WONDERFUL.

Featuring 38 pristine nature recordings from remote locations across the U.S., Biophony delivers a diverse collection of ambient environmental sounds. Delivered in 24-bit/96kHz FuMa Ambisonics format as well as stereo, this library contains amphibians, sea animals, insects and other wildlife interacting within distinct biomes. Use these sounds to enliven your nature scenes with a rich, authentic ecological backdrop.
To capture these sounds, recordist Jason Strawley and videographer Andrew Garraway traveled to four states from Florida to California with the goal of capturing a variety of ecosystems including swamps, ponds, and forests. The result is a dense collection of vibrant wildlife recordings brimming with life. According to Strawley, one of the most difficult aspects of the process was finding locations unaffected by human intervention, be it noise pollution or the overarching effects of climate change. In his own words:
“Human-made noise pollution foiled many a recording, forcing us to travel to more and more remote locations. We should all be advocating to preserve more wild lands, but it’s not just about the land – we need to preserve the soundscape and darkscape as well. Some national parks are doing a great job with this and I hope we can contribute to awareness in some tiny way.”
Each sound file is embedded with rich, descriptive metadata to help you find the exact ecosystem and animal recording you need. Biophony is also included in Pro Sound Effects’ CORE: Pro.

Establish the setting of any scene with the go-to recordings of The Odyssey Collection: Ambiences. Cover your needs for locations both everyday and exotic – from aircraft carriers to the Serengeti, nuclear power plants, brisk Canadian mountain air, Mexican bar walla, a Czechoslovakian office, record pressing factories, Malaysian forests, big cities, small towns and everywhere in-between.
Developed in exclusive collaboration with Academy Award®-winners Mark Mangini & Richard L. Anderson, Odyssey Ambiences delivers vibrant, diverse, high-quality recordings from around the globe – so you can focus on staying creative and delivering your best sound.
“Because Richard and I were so religious about fresh recordings, it was quite common for us to have a recorder with us everywhere we went. This allowed us to develop a rich, varied and international scope to our Ambience library without having to actually find money to fund every recording.”
– Mark Mangini (Blade Runner 2049, Mad Max: Fury Road)

Junkyard Car Smashed. Windows, doors, lights dash, great tearing of safety glass. Maybe should have ended up in gore, sweet and gross. Good glass shatter explosion.
I purchased a car in a junkyard and we went to town smashing it up. There are metal hits and glass hits as well. There are some great safety glass explosions as well as glass debris flying around inside the car. I smashed a bunch of the engine with a sledge hammer as well as dragging metal over engine parts. One of the best sounds is grinding and tearing the windshield. As safety glass is often covered with a thin film of plastic, it made the best sharp crackly flesh peeling sound ever. Perfect for adding destruction details.
With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
