Volume One of “Voices of Battle” delivers over 2000 vocal exertions from 8 professional female voice actors. These non-language vocal sounds of battle will bring your characters to life with intense power, pain, and emotion.
We captured a comprehensive range of exertion types, and each exertion has a large number of takes of various intensities and lengths to choose from. If your character attacks, jabs, swings, jumps, celebrates, casts a spell, or expresses pain, we have you covered.
For each actor, we captured multiple takes of the following exertions:
Also included are sets of 12 “Magic Shouts” from each actor. These are phrases of three syllables or less in a fictional mystic language: “Rah!”, “Kuhn Drah!”, “Kah Seh Too!”, etc. We imagined a sorcerer conjuring a spell but these phrases can also be spliced and used effectively as interesting attack sounds for non-magical characters too. As with the rest of the library, each magic shout has a variety of takes.
Buy now for highly usable performances from 8 professional actors for less money than a session with a single actor.
Bring your battle to life!
Heavy metal gates struck and rattled in deep large underground caverns, comes in three distinct POVs.
We went deep underground in huge caverns to hit, shake, tremble, klang and rattle the mightiest of heavy metal gates. Heavy duty thick iron doors and the likes were waiting in silence to be strongly disturbed.
Hear the thunderous metal tremors spreading through the caverns, with three different point of views : close-up with the Sanken CO-100k, pleasant realistic distance with the Schoeps MS, and a few giant steps backwards allowing the subtle Lewitt 540S stereo pair to shine in glorious natural reverb.

WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THIS LIBRARY?
Impressive and high quality gun shot sound effects are invaluable but they’re only half the battle. Our Micro BOOM – GUN HANDLING library gives you the perfect other half: Gun Foley sounds!
Whether for an intense firefight, its aftermath or preparation, GUN HANDLING has you covered.
Resonant metal impacts with movement. There is both microphone movement and swinging metal movement. In addition there are AMBISONICS recordings of the same. Great big pieces of metal being hit to produce resonant tones that then are moved in relation to the microphones. Lots of swinging metal and ringing effects. Also some great objects that resonate almost musically. Perfect for magical weapon movement.
155 Foley sounds recorded at a small English pub including glass movement, clinking, collecting and washing, various sized keg slides and impacts, drink preparation, fridge stocking, cooling units and furniture organisation. Perfect for putting together the elements needed for a convincing bar scene in your film, game or podcast.
NOTE: This is a rebranded Glitchedtones library. If you previously purchased Pub Foley by Glitchedtones, this is exactly the same library.
Have you ever wanted to rotate the phases of your signal to create frequency sweeps? Funny, neither had we, but then we tried it and were blown away! Disperser smears high energy transients through space and time without modifying the gain of the sound.
The result is a different take on transient shaping or, when used at extreme settings, an effect capable of shaping the sounds in ways you didn’t know you wanted to do. Boomy kicks, snappy hihats, synthetic wet basses or just a sweet utility to shape your signal’s peaks and crest factor. The choice is yours!
“Disperser is one of those plugins that does something you probably didn’t think was possible, until you hear it.”
Nik Roos – Noisia
What’s a Snapin?
This plugin is a “snapin”. That means you can use it as a regular VST/AU plugin, or you can use it with our snapin hosts Multipass and Snap Heap where you can combine effects in amazing ways.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
