Sound Effects

  • Have you ever wanted to rotate the phases of your signal to create frequency sweeps? Funny, neither had we, but then we tried it and were blown away! Disperser smears high energy transients through space and time without modifying the gain of the sound.

The result is a different take on transient shaping or, when used at extreme settings, an effect capable of shaping the sounds in ways you didn’t know you wanted to do. Boomy kicks, snappy hihats, synthetic wet basses or just a sweet utility to shape your signal’s peaks and crest factor. The choice is yours!

“Disperser is one of those plugins that does something you probably didn’t think was possible, until you hear it.”

    Nik Roos – Noisia

    What’s a Snapin?
This plugin is a “snapin”. That means you can use it as a regular VST/AU plugin, or you can use it with our snapin hosts Multipass and Snap Heap where you can combine effects in amazing ways.

Curated from an extensive vehicle workup of a 2001 Saleen Mustang from The Odyssey Collection by Academy Award®-winners Mark Mangini & Richard L. Anderson, this library includes a wide variety of powerful car recordings from different angles, distances, speeds, and perspectives.

What is a workup? A workup is a thorough series of recordings of the same subject from many different perspectives. Having these options at your fingertips helps to quickly and intuitively cut sound effects for a scene without needing to reuse or process sounds to make them fit the picture.

Streamline your sound editing workflow with expertly recorded car sound effects from the 2001 Saleen Mustang including ignition, engine revving, idling, driving sequences in forward and reverse on various terrains, pass bys, tire skids, door and trunk open and close, horn honks, engine rumbles, and more.

This workup also includes a selection of multi-mono recordings, which offers the choice of different mic positions from the same recording. And each sound is embedded with rich, descriptive metadata for lightning-fast, pinpoint search results.

Vehicle Workup: 2001 Saleen Mustang is also included in Pro Sound Effects’ CORE: Standard.

    Key Features:

    • 100 sound effects (1.61GB)
    • 24-bit/48kHz broadcast .wav files
    • Descriptive embedded metadata
    • 100% Royalty-Free
    • Delivered via download

  • Dialog. The focal point of any movie, television show, documentary, or for that matter, any creative media production involving the spoken word. Add to the mix a sweeping musical score, dozens of foley effects, and plenty more – and it becomes clear the job of dialog mixing is a tall order. After all, if you can’t hear what the actors are saying, why watch it at all!!

The SA-2 Dialog Processor is based on hardware originally conceived by Academy Award winning re-recording mixer Mike Minkler and used on over 100 major motion pictures. The SA-2 is designed to improve the overall sound of recorded speech. But the SA-2 is not just for dialog. It’s equally useful for vocals, and is a great tool for adjusting the timbre of any track, a reliable de-esser, and a fine multi-frequency compressor, in our completely biased opinion.

The SA-2 Dialog Processor is made up of 5 bands of strategic active equalization, configured in a variety of modes to best address common issues of dialog. Each band of active equalization has a threshold control to determine at what signal level the active equalizer begins to effect the signal. There are also enable buttons for each band to quickly audition the effect of any given band. Two mode selectors – one for controlling the ballistics of the active equalization, and a second for placing the five bands at strategic locations in the frequency spectrum. Finally, there are input and output gain controls for overall adjustment.

    Features

    • Five independent bands of strategic active equalization
    • Multiple process modes for a variety of applications
    • Unique signal reduction metering
    • Double precision processing
    • Ultra low latency
    • Mono and stereo versions

    Formats
    • Native v6: AAX Native, AU, VST

  • The ML8000 Advanced Limiter is the next generation of limiter technology, using two completely separate stages of processing for significantly improved peak level adjustment.
The first stage of the ML8000, the Multi-band Limiter, uses 8 bands of active processing for superior phase response over traditional cross-over based processing. Each band has its own gain and threshold (output ceiling) control. Additional overall band controls include release time and limiter modes, calibrated similarly to the modes of the original highly acclaimed McDSP ML4000 limiter. An additional focus mode provides subtle articulation changes in how each band tracks and limits the incoming signal.
The second stage of the ML8000, the Master Limiter, is a precise recreation of the patented ML4000 limiter algorithm, right down to the limiter modes. The Master Limiter also includes filter design enhancements to further reduce peak distortion.

The ML8000 8-bands of processing are easily controlled from the response plot, large gain faders beneath, and convenient threshold markers aligned to each band’s input meter. Text readouts can be adjusted from the keyboard, or controlled with mouse movement. Any number of bands can be linked to another band, and each band can be solo’ed or have its key input monitored.
Visual feedback, multiple metering sources, and an intuitive user interface make the ML8000 an easy choice for the audio professional.

    Features

    • Brick wall look-ahead limiter
    • Multi-stage and multi-band peak detection and limiting
    • Unique limiter Knee, Mode, and Focus controls
    • Snap function instantly sets multi-band thresholds to signal levels
    • Double precision processing
    • Low latency
    • Mono and stereo versions
