The Hangar Bay sound-set contains three long playing audio-scenes and twenty-four isolated audio-stems to give you ultimate creative control over our sounds!
The three audio-scenes are like field recordings from the future -like we travelled forward in time and recorded a hangar bay in real time and then sent those sounds back to the now! The three scenes include a high alert scenario with busy activity and a star fighter launch and landing sequence! There is a night shift scene which is calm and relaxed and finally, a scene that puts you down on the flight deck floor in the middle of all the frantic action! These three sound-scenes are rich with original sounds and designed to be flexible and fun to use!
Inside the audio-stems folder you will find the isolated audio elements used to make the audio-scenes! There you will find massive environment backgrounds, hurried activity sounds, pressurized valves hissing, mechanized lifts, bombastic alerts, repair sounds and the cinematic star fighter launch and landing sequences, isolated! Get the sounds of the the Honda VTX 1300 – a distinctive cruiser motorcycle.
Its 1300cc displacement is right in the sweet spot between the zippier 750 models and the massive 1800 road warriors. This particular one was equipped with a set of custom Vance and Hines Big Shots exhaust pipes early in its life, giving it a distinctive and throaty note that can be heard up and down the highway. The VTX line is also known for its distinctive transmission, which gives a meaty ‘clunk’ with every shift.
This library is a set of recordings that were made using a combination of onboard and exterior mics at a variety of useful speeds, as well as free running on the highway. Its a smaller set, but very distinctive and useful.
We recorded multiple channels on every movement:
• Onboards consisted of Line audio CM3, Crown PZM and Sanken COS11 mics
• A handheld MKH416 rig covered bys and exteriors
After a half day of recording we had material ranging from idles and slow starts to fast bys and highway runs.
Looking for creepy ambiences? The Horrid delivers 4 dark ambient / industrial / horror compositions and their complete stem layers (22 files included – a total of more than 70 minutes of ambiences), for when you need to create a truly unsettling atmosphere.
Use a single track, or combine and remix your own variations. Rather than static tones, you will find significant, evolving themes here. Seamless loops, metadata included.

The Keyless Piano Body is a Kontakt Patch library that features an abandoned upright piano without keyboard.
The library encompasses the results of three extensive recording sessions and features the wonderful and reverberant sound of these piano remains.
For session 1 and 2 the body was brought to a studio and literally laid back so that various things like plastic balls, felt balls, glasses and much more could be thrown in to excite the strings. At the end of both sessions tons of samples were ready to edit. They now form 13 Kontakt instruments that encompass several precisely tuned pianos plus many prepared piano sets.
Session 3 was kind of a field recording gig as the piano remains were meanwhile moved to a rural garden area. The nightly recordings were done 6-channel so that several sample sets from 2 acoustic mics and 4 contact pick ups could be created. Again, the Kontakt instruments from this session feature the sounds of a rotten piano that is lovely and impressive at the same time. In a second pass the piano strings were treated with a stell jazz brush to bring up 3 multi-channel sets with prepared piano-like sounds.
Please see the Patch List here or below to learn more about the individual instruments. Also note that The Keyless Piano Body requires Kontakt 4 or higher.

Audiobeast is proud to present our first sample library; the first library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in interior spaces!
The London Warehouse Weapons Library contains over 6 GBs of weapons being fired in a large warehouse, medium warehouse, stairwell, office and small room. 291 WAV files all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.
Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the warehouse 50 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned behind doors and walls to capture the occluded gunfire.
As well as all the firing we've included all the foley as well, because while convolution reverb is great, nothing beats actual content!
Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully by Steve Whetman in his room at Pinewood Studios, so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.
Due to safety restrictions it was not possible to fire the bigger weapons in the smaller spaces, the ceiling was shaking while recording the Assault Rifle in the office and stairwell and came close to collapsing. Physically the Browning M2 .50 calibre Machine Gun would not even fit on the stairwell or in the small room.

Get your ears around a genuine piece of film history! Introducing the Moviola UD 20 CS Film Editing machine. Countless films have been made on these iconic upright film editors including work by Kubrick and Spielberg.
We found this beast lurking in a hallway at Pinewood Studios and were shocked when she fired up. So we did the honourable thing…..miked her up and clicked, flicked and revved our way to making this library.
We ran the Moviola both with and without film performing starts, stops, wind ups, wind downs and even some pedal revs.
With a Neumann M/S setup under the belly, a Sanken CO-100K overhead and an MKH60 tight in on the mechanisms we have this covered from all angles. We also provide a beautiful mix track for when you just want to lay great stuff quickly.
Shot at 24Bit/192kHz the Sanken allows for extreme pitching and twisting, making this library the perfect set of ingredients for designing cool new mech. So if you’re tinkering with a clumsy robot or just want to lay a projector this library will get you there.

Cars are everywhere in film, games, and society in general, but many sound artists lack the resources to tackle vehicle-centric projects. Whether the obstacle is finding recordings of a specific model, matching unique angles, or running out of material for the quick cuts of a high-speed chase – sound designing vehicles without the proper sonic ingredients can be a huge waste of your time and distract your audience from the story.
Developed in exclusive collaboration with Academy Award®-winning sound editors, Mark Mangini (Blade Runner 2049, Mad Max: Fury Road) and Richard L. Anderson (The Lion King, Edward Scissorhands), The Odyssey Collection: Vehicles (OV) brings you an unrivaled professional vehicle sound effects library to help cover your needs for any scene. Recorded with the invaluable resources of a Hollywood budget while creating the sound for hundreds of major feature films, OV features over 250 different vehicles – from sports cars and luxury SUVs to street bikes and military trucks – expertly captured from varied perspectives with methodical workups to streamline your workflow.
What is a workup? A workup is a thorough series of recordings of the same subject from many different perspectives, angles, and distances. To ensure you have the sounds needed for any scene, a workup of a specific vehicle provides recordings of every action the vehicle performs – both interior, exterior, and at different speeds including pass bys, engine rumble, mechanical sounds, car Foley, and more.
As the latest library in The Odyssey Collection following Odyssey Essentials (OE) and Odyssey Expanded (OX), OV presents a new approach to sound library curation – combining the comprehensive offering of a general library with the pinpoint focus of a specialty library – all while championing Odyssey’s renowned and inspiring quality, reliable breadth, intuitive organization, and cinematic character.
“This library has been an essential tool for me my entire life, and this idea of workups and vehicle recordings is a big part of its philosophy. It makes getting the job done that much more elegant, professional, and high fidelity.” – Mark Mangini

In curating the Basic Version, we created a must-have pack for any sound editor by zeroing in on more than 25 of the most frequently heard vehicles in film & TV. There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
