Sound Effects

  • – The Delay is the ultimate creative tool for adding space, depth, and excitement to music

There have been many incredible delay units created over the past 70 years, from tape delays to oil cans to modern digital circuits. So when D16 Group and our friends at Slate Digital got together to create a new delay plugin, it was obvious which we would model: all of them!

  • – Incredible degree of sound-shaping freedom

Sigmund is far from just another delay: it consists of four discrete delay units, each with its own, independent set of parameters offering an incredible degree of sound-shaping freedom. There’s an ancient saying, often attributed to Aristotle: The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. With Sigmund, this is especially true: each of the delay lines has complementary modules built-in, independent from the feedback loop:

But that’s not all: Sigmund has two general-purpose Modulators which can be used to auto-modulate some of the delay lines’ internal parameters. There are three different modes a Modulator can operate in:

LFO – Used subtly on-time parameter can delicately bring a sound to life, to add gently flowing, modulated warmth reminiscent of the analog delays of yesteryear. At extreme settings, the LFO is capable of twisting the input signal utterly beyond recognition and into what you might expect transmissions from an alien civilization to sound like!

Envelope – In combination with built-in Transient Detector gives you a very powerful tool; when applied on amplitude allows to freely shape sound’s dynamics to control how it blends in the whole mix.

Peak follower – It’s a must-have for a Modulator; nothing else will do such expressive wah-wah effect, when filter cutoff is influenced by. Surely in the hands of skilled sound designer it will have many other applications beyond that.

This all adds up to an immensely powerful architecture, the potential of which can be explored nearly endlessly and often with hardly predictable outcomes.

  • – Our compact, intuitive reverb plugin creates amazingly authentic real-world spaces without bogging you down in complex parameters.

The hybrid algorithm at the heart of Spacerek fuses modeled virtual spaces to a dynamic delay network, generating reverb tails with supremely realistic early reflections, dense, colorful late reflections, and separately adjustable ER and LR pre-delay times. Dozens of emulated room types take in halls, towers, chambers, tunnels, and much more, and each one integrates a variety of preset stereo microphone and speaker setups.

Spacerek also makes balancing the Direct signal, Early Reflections, and Late reflections easy with its three-channel mixer; while the highly musical Tilt EQ and Low Cut filter modules provide effortless shaping of the overall tail. And as each Reverb Model is pre-configured for left-right or mid-side stereo operation, tweaking width and spatialization is a snap.

Spacerek doesn’t put the squeeze on your system, either – indeed, when you hear it, you can’t fail to be impressed by its CPU-friendliness (compared with typical audio simulation techniques).

  • – Evocative, characterful sound through painstakingly accurate modelling of a high quality analog BBD delay line

With that in mind, we set out to create the ultimate analog chorus emulation, inspired by the revered effects found in classic synthesizers such as the Solina String Ensemble, Elka Synthex and Roland Juno-106. This fruit of our labor is Syntorus 2, the newest addition to the Silver Line series of plugins.

Syntorus 2’s unique analog sound enriches any instrument routed into it, bringing life and movement to synth basses and leads, and adding depth and lushness to guitars and other electric/acoustic instruments.

  • – A concept ‘verb, come alive

Toraverb was never meant to be an emulation, approximation, or recreation. We did not implement any “off-the-shelf” algorithm or impulse response. Unlike a classic unit such as spring, room, hall, or plate, Toraverb is a concept in its own right. Using a set of easily accessible parameters, allows the user to create practically ANY type of algorithmic reverb. Our goal was to create something which would sound beautiful no matter where the knobs are.

Reverb is a critical effect in a mix. A good digital reverb depends on the algorithms used and their implementation quality. Usually, reverb is used as a send effect in which many channels in a mix are routed to it. If a poorly designed plug-in or hardware unit is used, the end result is tinnier/muddier mixes, with reverb tails sounding like they’re being torn off inhumanely.

  • – Start thinking of delay as part of your arrangement

Tekturon is a multitap-delay effect with 16 independent, high-quality delay lines. What really sets it apart from other, similar products, however, is the way it’s controlled and the unique topology into which the taps are arranged: The Delay Matrix. In fact, Tekuron can’t be thought of as a tap-delay effect in the strictest sense, but more of a sequence of taps equally delayed from each other, whereby working with the plugin strongly resembles using a step sequencer. This rather unusual design should give your creativity just the kick it needs!

  • Car Sound Effects Vehicle Pack Play Track 963 sounds included, 1933 mins total $399

Flysound presents: VEHICLE PACK. Four individual sound libraries, of three cars and a bike. First, there is the BMW X5, then the Mini Cooper, then a Land Rover, and on to two wheels, Ducati. The libraries complement each other to provide the road symphony your project might require. All together under one click, vroom vroom! Enjoy.

Flysound‘s finest, top grade recordings, of four fabulous marvels of mobility. Using studio-grade equipment, we recorded our vehicles on-site, with instantaneous position adjustment to capture the right sounds at the right times.

This compilation can serve as a versatile and harmonious soundscape for the road action in your project, whatever the scale of traffic, action, and nuanced context of your scenes and sequences, and taken one by one, the cars and bike libraries themselves are laid out to showcase any individual vehicle audio scenario in deep focus. To cut to the chase, here are the autos:

The BMW X5M, a 750 horsepower highly-tuned SUV which is sporty and at the same time spacious, sturdy, safe and cosy for family moments; we’ve recorded it across all its moods.

The Mini Cooper, a souped up city car. Very nippy and youthful, this style icon was a pleasure to record in all its fabulousness.

The Land Rover Defender, a 4×4 diesel beast that is rugged and country-style, workmanlike, and at the same time elegant and very respectable.

The Ducati Scrambler, the cafe racer model. It represents freedom on two wheels, and we’ve captured the sounds to match, both on the open road and in an autodrome.

All the libraries have a huge variety of sounds, interior, exterior, and foley content. We have paid attention to capture not only the vrooming, roaring, careening and chugging of these vehicles, but also the necessary everyday actions of the machinery, such as the closing of doors, fastening of seatbelts, clicking of levers and squeaking of seats.

Technical specs: Neumann U87’s, Neumann USM 69’s, Sound Devices 788T’s, Aaton Cantar-X2’s, Sonosax, and Sennheiser MKH416’s.

A lite and mixed version of this suite is also included, comprising authentic stereo files, designed, mixed, and studio packaged on best-of-breed equipment for simpler tasks which would have a preference for a package of ready made stock sounds of the  VEHICLE PACK

Soundminer Radium regions were added throughout to speed up your sound design process. Five bonus designed files of clocks and an office ambience are included as well.

  • Giant metal plate destruction for sound design.

Hanging metal plate that was recorded with an ambient microphone and a contact microphone to produce other worldly effects. I use a lot of this in a granular synthesis engine to focus on harmonics which then become just about anything.

  • Fiat 126 is a tiny car designed in the early 1970s to replace the classic Fiat 500. It was the most popular car in Poland from the late 1970s until the late 1990s. The idiosyncratic sound of its two cylinder, 0.65 Litre engine became an icon of the Polish everyday life. Fiat 126 was also common in Italy and Cuba.

This library contains all basic sounds this car can make, like driving at various speeds on tarmac and dirt roads, pass-bys and parking. Then there’s foley sounds of all the switches, opening doors etc. Don’t miss the particularly rich sound of the cold start of the aged engine.

The car we recorded was made in 1999. All its sounds are relevant for cars produced between 1994 and 2000. Earlier versions did not have the electronic starter and they wouldn’t beep when the choke was open. Cars made until about 1985 had a different dashboard so some of their switches would sound different (compare pictures for reference). The engine (and its sound) however was the same from the early 1970s until the end of production in 2000.

109 stereo files, 18 mono files, all UCS compliant.

  • Sacrificial Chants contains a vast collection of demonic chants and whispers in a range of ancient and forgotten languages. These devilish sounds will make a bone-chilling addition to your collection of horror sound effects and will be perfect for use in scenes involving demonic rituals, paranormal events, satanic worship and ancient tribal chants.

Our Audio Craftsmen recorded human vocalisations (male and female) of sinister and unnerving chants with professional voice actors. These recordings have then been purposely processed and manipulated to be as unsettling as possible. The files have been edited for maximum usability and can be dropped straight into your session timeline.
All sounds were recorded in 24Bit 96KHz allowing for further manipulation and experimentation, and contain extensive metadata to make navigating and finding the right sound as simple as possible. Almost all of the sounds are provided dry (without reverb).

Sacrificial Chants is broken up into 6 separate folders, each with its own distinct character voice. These include:

Whispering Witch – An old and cruel witch whispering dark spells in an ancient language.

Dark Wizard – A dark wizard performing summoning chants in a forgotten language.

Evil Nymph – A twisted and demented water nymph that has been turned to the dark side.

Demonic Monk – A religious scholar who is possessed by an evil and cunning demon, speaking bible verses in Latin.

Tribal Shaman – A tribal witch doctor channelling dark spirits and casting a wicked curse upon the enemies of his tribe.

Reptilian – A shapeshifting extra-terrestrial being who invades the minds of her enemies through sinister whispers.
