Sound Effects

  • Gravity volume 2 is the second installment in the Gravity series and consists of impact and drag effects for 9 different materials. Again we set aim to record realistic sounds, minimally compressed and useful as base for physics simulation or foley.

You’ll find some weird sounds and textures in here suitable for many other uses as well. How about squealing styrofoam drags, a 10 meter PVC pipe, or walnuts suitable for skull and bone simulation!

All sounds have been edited to single takes per file, grouped per material in their own folders. In addition to a basic description in their filenames, each individual file has more elaborate META tags included. This gives you quick access to the sounds you need without losing that creative flow.

For scrapes and drags, we recorded long and medium takes which can be used for the construction of loops.

Volume 2 includes: bricks (impacts, tumbles, and mini-landslides), ceramic tiles, crushed tin cans, styrofoam, plastic bottles, boxes and bags, walnuts, and a PVC pipe.
  • AN OCTAPHONIC ADVENTURE
OB-E – is our take on the legendary 8-Voice. More than just an emulation, OB-E offers a unique musical experience. Sounding HUGE, it takes the iconic Synthesiser Expander Module based 8-Voice (a.k.a the EVS) into new sonic territory via a raft of enhancements and additions.

The concept of the 8-Voice is actually very simple; based around a single Module containing two VCOs with Pulse and Sawtooth waveforms, two ADS Envelope Generators, one LFO, and a magical Multi-Mode Filter. In isolation each Module is monophonic, but in the 8-Voice, because there are eight Modules triggered by a polyphonic keyboard, you have a superb eight note polyphonic synthesiser. While simple at heart, OB-E is, to our knowledge, the first virtual instrument with complete per-voice control. This unique Octaphonic architecture offers fresh and exciting creative possibilities to music producers, composers and sound designers for the first time in the digital realm.

Get your gears grinding with 281 sounds by a metal sheet bending machine from the 1950s.

Made out of cast iron by Thyssen Krupp, this machine was used to bend i.a copper sheets to create rain gutters or other parts of drainage or heating systems.

The library is composed of two main elements, the outer cogwheel held by a hammer clutch to calibrate the rollers, and the inner cogwheel used to lower or raise a massive clamp to bend the metal sheet at a right angle.

The outer cogwheel creates snappy impacts, as the hummer clutch snaps into place, providing you with the base for your next lever or mechanism design.

The inner gear on the other side provides both calm and screeching grinding gears, as the heavy clamp is raised or lowered. Setting you up, for the next intricate mechanism design.

The cogwheels were recorded from two angles and the library contains both single files, as well as a joined file, per sound and stereo files for the outer cogwheel.
