  • Kawaii UI Trailer
  • Neighbors: Sounds Behind Walls is a unique collection, offering over 3 hours of sounds capturing the daily activities of neighbors living next or above you. This collection can be used especially to bring life to quiet spaces/rooms.

Think about indistinct sounds from neighbors walking around, setting the table, making coffee, tea, load and unload the dishwasher, cooking, tidying up the room, flushing the toilet, using the water tap, vacuum cleaning, dry blowing their hair, brushing their teeth, taking something out of the fridge or freezer, opening and closing curtains, or even practicing an instrument. And that is not all. We’ve also covered a “noisy” neighbor walking around the room, using or slamming doors, jumping, moving furniture and walking up and down the stairs.

All recordings are clear and completely free from external noise, voices and other disruptions. No additional reverb is used for more flexibility.

Utilizing two microphone setups provides two variations for each recording, offering both more pronounced and more distant options.

Get over 3 hours of unique, royalty-free and high-quality recordings with this library. Recorded in 24 bit / 96 kHz. Accurately edited and mastered. For more detailed descriptions about the recordings in this collection see the metadata in our file lists or listen to the preview montage.

This library is UCS compliant (universalcategorysystem.com). In this new category system, all files contain extensive metadata like file description, Category & Subcategory. Metadata can be read and processed by the most common audio libraries management tools.

  • Vintage Mechanical Keyboards: a meticulously crafted sound effects library capturing the nostalgic charm character of seven unique-sounding mechanical keyboards: the much-loved IBM Model M, the sleek IBM Japan 5576, the classic Wyse PSE, a unique Soviet Elektronika MC 7004, a quirky non-qwerty Stocktrader keyboard from 1978, a solid Zinc bank teller keyboard, and a vintage terminal board from 1976.

Each keyboard was expertly recorded with multiple microphones to preserve its unique sonic character, featuring regular keystrokes at various velocities, slow press/release strikes, and separate recordings of letter keys, arrow keys, numpads, and spacebars. There’s also typing at various speeds, keyboard mashing, finger rolls, and miscellaneous switches and plastic creaks.

950 meticulously crafted files, totaling 25.4 GB, and recorded at 192kHz and 24-bit, complete with metadata that adheres to the UCS standard.

    🚀🦢

  • This library contains 7 steam locomotive whistles from the beginning of the last century!

These huge monsters could still announce themselves very loudly!

    • Each recording is several repetitions of long and short whistles for each steam locomotive, recorded at close range.
    • The file name also includes the models of the locomotives, as each one’s whistle is unique!

Cataclysm is a vast collection of recorded, synthesized and designed sounds created to support important destructive moments and add a stronger sense of extreme consequence to any sound.

The recorded section of library features elements such as flash powder explosions, propane cannon blasts and artillery cannons recorded in unique natural environments with violent transients and lush, long and varied tails. It also features falling trees, forge burners, large trebuchet wood groans, rock smashes as well as more ordinary items recorded and designed to feel like an over the top version of themselves such as vacuum cleaner suctions, metal vase holders, ground pounders and more.

The synthesized section of the library features equally rich textures in the form of explosion sweeteners, other-worldly environmental reflections, scorching energy risers and more.

Finally, recorded and synthesized content was employed to develop the designed section, where the hyperrealism of the recordings meets the clean yet aggressive textures of the synthesized section in catastrophic assets themed around the library’s title.

Bonus: Two extra libraries included for free:

  • SUPERCHARGE YOUR PROJECTS WITH VOLTAGE
Around us there is an inaudible dimension of sound generated by human technologies and machines. We have captured these electromagnetic fields and present you VOLT, a versatile tool or designing electric sounds with extrem manipulation options. Create energetic movements, sci-fi elements, futuristic engines and weapons, massive impacts or use the sounds as a resource for UI design and the layering of complex ambiences.

This collection brings you 26,76GB of sounds including more than 1800 sfx of electromagnetic recordings as well as pre-designed risers, stingers, drones, user interface sounds and whooshes. You also get a huge toolkit section with loops and oneshots for crafting your own sounds from scratch, optimized for a smooth workflow in samplers like S-Layer.

    AN ELECTRIFYING SOURCE OF INSPIRATION
Our sound hunt took us through extensive recordings of screens, household devices, smartphones, computers, car ignitions and interiors, motors, lights, fuseboxes, synthesizers and much more using a Soma Ether stereo setup and a LOM Elektrouši with a Sound Devices Mix-Pre 6 recorder. The stereo recordings of the Soma Ether often result in a dynamic panorama with unique signals on each channel. Since electromagnetic fields extend to very high frequencies, we recorded the sounds in 192khz so you have the full spectrum and potential to let your creativity run wild and design something entirely new.

  • Rare close-up recordings of a blimp engine (2x Goodyear with 154 kW) .

A unique propeller motor with a well-known and reconizable sound.

I was able to spend a short time during an engine test with one of the few airships in the world, a WDL blimp in Essen, Germany. The engine performed three different constant RPMs and all the transitions plus some additional rev-ups. I was able to record the noises with up to three mono mics (one on the engine and the other two a bit further away) and a stereo set up (onboard in the cabin most of the time). Check the file list for details.

In addition I recorded one ambience with a fly-by and the cabin doors opening and closing, some knobs being pushed and the air valve operating.

All files meta-tagged and use the UCS naming system.

Arabian Desert is a collection of stereo and quad soundscapes recorded on the Arabian Peninsula in the Empty Quarter, the largest expanse of sand dunes on Earth. The recordings range from soft to medium and gusty/blustery wind, with variations including sand spray, vegetation movement and insects.

This collection of recordings will help portray the vast expanse of the Empty Quarter. Many of these soundscapes are not much more than soft wind. There’s also gusty and blustery wind, recorded with microphones at the top of dunes and underneath the sand surface. Wildlife is incredibly sparse in the Empty Quarter and is represented in this library by buzzing flies and other insects.

    50 & 200 meters in a 5.0 surround mic array (Sennheiser MKH8020/8040)

They have the same length and can be easily combined for more sonic possibilities.

Clocks and Mechanics is the ultimate tool to design mechanical processes and tell stories with the ticking, chiming and ringing of clocks. Whether you have to create tiny mechanical movements, rattling gadgets or even large gear mechanisms like steampunk machines, this library will cover it all.

    CLEAN AND DETAILED RECORDINGS
Clocks and Mechanics provides you with recordings of grandfather clocks, wall clocks, desk clocks, alarm clocks, pocket watches and many small mechanisms, all carefully edited and natural sounding. Included are various sounds of chimes, bells, loopable ticking at different speeds, detailed clockwork and gear mechanisms as well as rattling, snapping, clicking and handling of spare parts. All sounds were captured in mono and stereo using the LCR recording technique.

ONE OF THE LARGEST CLOCK SOUND LIBRARIES
Severeal recording sessions in the workshops of various clockmakers resulted in a library containing 440 soundfiles with more than 2300 individual sounds, making this collection one of the biggest clock libraries available on the market.

    Artur Baryshev (Sound Designer)
“One of the most detailed library out there! It contains a huge amount of carefully recorded clock-related material, which can be used in a wide variety of situations: not only for clocks, but for small mechanical things, steampunk robots, UI, ambience, motion design and the list goes on. Also, this library contains the biggest amount of ticks I ever saw. Nice!”

  • Strange instruments is collection of wild and unconventional instrument sound effects. Featuring 30 instruments; this collection covers a wide range sounds from a variety of unique props. From whirling and whooshing Bullroarers, Wind Wands, and Twittering Bamboo; to dramatic impacts and pitch bending from Gongs and Cymbals in water; to the strange calls and warbling of PVC Horns, Overtone Flutes, and Bamboo Swazzles,… the sonic scope of Strange Instruments is wide and varied.

While these props have their place in some forms of music, they were specially selected, performed, and recorded for rich sound design possibilities. Discover how this wild new source material can bring a fresh perspective to your design. Check out the previews of what this library contains at normal speed and what can be achieved with just simple pitch shifting!

Singing bowl is a type of metal or glass/crystal bell that vibrates and produces a rich, deep tone when played. Also known as Himalayan or Tibetan, singing bowls are used in meditation and yoga practice.

Singing bells are very useful in sound design and music production, because of rich and slowly evolving tones and textures.

For this library I recorded metal and crystal singing bowls in many different sizes.

Also, several polyphonic performances, played by trained yoga-master, are included as a bonus.

Videogame Foley Essentials was created with the goal of assisting all editors and sound designers alike on their newly found videogame ventures, ready to satisfy all your foley needs.

You’ll find on this library the following folders with clear nomenclature and respective metadata pertaining to various interactions either with environmental objects or the characters you’ll find in the game itself:

    • Buttons & Switches: everything from simple button presses (of all shapes, sizes and materials, including light switches), to plugging-in sounds of plastic devices and simple mechanisms being interacted with.
    • Clothing & Accessories: quick and snappy movement sounds from pants and jackets of diverse materials for all weather conditions; backpacks, pouches, belt buckles, keychains and zippers jiggling; rummaging and dressing-up takes of all the aforementioned clothing pieces and accessories.
    • Doors: door handle one-shots ranging from old/decrepit wooden doors to slick/modern ones; closing and opening sounds of multiple door types; insertion, removal and turning sounds of keys on numerous locks; hinges creaking and screeching.
    • Drawers & Cupboards: all types of drawer sounds based on metallic and wooden surfaces, both with and without bearings; small office cabinet sounds; creaky and quiet cupboards with and without simple lock sounds.
    • Footsteps: numerous one-shots of different shoes on a neutral surface (two shoe types, boots, tap dancing shoes, high heel boots, medium heel shoes, slippers, pool slippers and barefoot), while also including certain ground textures (bark, dirt, dry leaves, dry pine tree leaves, gravel, different plants, sand and wet dirt).
    • Rummaging & Jiggling: textures being handled in several ways, from rummaging/dropping/dragging/handling/jiggling sounds of scrap, wood, metallic fragments, plastic and cardboard boxes, cans, plastic bottles, metal plates and plenty of other materials/interactions.

These sounds were created with videogame development in mind, meaning all sounds are short and snappy one-shots with dozens of iterations each, capable of being layered, stretched and bent with surprising results. All audio files were mixed at the same volume level, carefully cleaned-up of any unnecessary background noise and artifacts ready to be dropped onto any audio middleware solution such as Wwise or FMOD. The goal is to help the editor/sound designer on their workflow by simply dropping these ready-to-go sound batches on their middleware projects, avoiding auditory repetition and fatigue for the gamer whilst keeping them totally immersed on their upcoming adventures.

    V7
is a home-built metal spring sound-tool made from an old measurement-unit found at a flea market. Now – disassembled, rebuilt and mounted amongst other things with a 33 foot long Giant Spring that connects the measurement box to an open metal staircase and creates a natural spring reverb.

I Played with a bow, friction rubber clubs, metal slides, whipped cream gas cartridges and a souvenir Eiffel Tower.

The result is a unique sound effect library of massive metallic hits, gongs, scrapes, squeaks, friction, rumbles and rattles. From subtle, soft squeaks and harsh, brutal metal shrieks to long and deep musical metal moans.

V7 is recorded with an Ehrlund EHR-E microphone placed inside the metal box. All files are in 96 kHz/24 bit and contains the original acoustic recordings.

The library contains skidding with engine running, skidding with engine switching off, skidding on wet tarmac, roll bys on wet and dry tarmac, spinning in circles, rolling with flat tire and much more. Both onboard and exterior perspectives are covered, and several microphones were positioned at each wheel, inside the car, and along the skidding path.

Some additional material is included, such as a supercharged Chevy -57 burnout, handbrake skids from a Skoda, and more.

  • Environments & Ambiences Snow and Ice Textures Play Track 548+ sounds included, 295 mins total $199

A must-have collection for winter sounds, this library consists of many years' recordings of snow and ice, skiing, textures, ambiences, foley and so on. It contains lots of skiing, jumping, rails, freezing cold winds, ski resort ambiences, lifts, walking in snow and on ice, texture details such as snow spray, tires driving, skidding and spinning on ice and snow, drilling in ice and much more.

The first session contains lots of windows being smashed and sounds of car body debris from two hanging cars scratching against each other. During this session, microphones were positioned inside the vehicles as they were dropped from the crane as well. The left side of the onboard recorder comes and goes, but we decided to leave it in the library since it has some very nice bits in it.

  • Get the sounds of actual industrial robots – and more – in this special sound effects library. In addition to industrial robot SFX, it delivers hydraulic and pneumatic sounds from various machines at different speeds, such as lathes, plastic molding machines, tank turrets and other sources. • This library, recorded during a trip to the ominous Death Valley USA in February 2021, features sounds of the harsh desert being carved by winter winds, as well as sounds of life such as wetland birds from the oasis at Ash Meadows. If you listen closely to the recordings from the infamous Devil’s Hole, and inhospitable Salt Creek, you can hear the endangered pupfish bark. Many recording styles were used to capture immersive stereo images of the landscape that provides such stark contrasts being both foreboding and breathtaking in its beauty, included are surround and binaural recordings. This is by no means a comprehensive collection, if anything I learned that I have much more to discover about Death Valley than I thought I did starting out.

I will be donating 10% of my portion of the sales from this library to the Death Valley Conservancy in order to help in the efforts to protect this place which is dear to my heart, and truly one of the most unique places on the planet. Sale Policy: To keep things simple, I never put any of my libraries on sale or offer any kind of discount. I sell them at a reasonable price given the effort to record and compile them, I find this is the most honest and transparent approach to the sale of sound effects.

  • Monochrome is a premium sound library for composers, sound designers and experimentalists fusing a rough electronic aesthetic with film and trailer sound design for a unique set of modern sonic tools.

Heavily processed ambient field recordings, short and long build-ups and transition effects, hits, slams, abstract foley fx, a vast selection of risers, cinematic kicks and hyper detailed impacts, found sounds patterns played in real time, then chopped and sculpted into percussive textures.

Monochrome is simultaneously alluring and disorienting with its experimental aesthetic. There are long, dissonant and amorphous echoes manipulated beyond identification, intimate atmospheres with an identifiable aesthetic and and hi peaks of emotional resonance.

Monochrome is a collaboration between SampleTraxx and French sound designer Julien Caraz.

450+ Wav sounds all labelled by key to guarantee ease of use when played with pitch-related compositions.

A few of the included soundscapes feature sand being blown over the surface of dunes. There’s a variety of wildlife calls too, from insects like cicadas, crickets or flies to barking geckos and occasional birds. • The Roll from The Library by Empty Sea contains over 750 original Wheeled Object sound effects for all your rolling needs!

Some of the objects were even loaded down with weight to change the sonic profile! It’s all here! Toy Cars, Strollers, Wagons, Scooters, Luggage, Carts, Hand Truck. Part 1 has a great selection of rolling objects for all of your sound design needs.

The Roll was recorded exclusively at 96k24bit. We utilized several different recorders and microphones for this project including Zoom F8n, Roland R-07, Zoom H4n, and Oktava MK-012. The Roll also utilizes UCS for easier cataloging in sound effect database management software.

Sound effects libraries highlighted in this episode:

  • This sound library was carefully recorded, processed and crafted to offer a unique toolset for your water and underwater design needs.

Great for hyper realistic or abstract designs, fantasy genre with water based magic, creature or surreal underwater movement, motion graphics with liquid elements and textures.

This Sound Library is a part of the Slava Pogorelsky – Complete Bundle. Upgrade offer is available!

    WHAT SOUND PROFESSIONALS SAY:

Victor Mercader – AAA Sound Designer (Apex Legends)
“I find myself continuously using Slava’s SFX libraries to blend it’s pristine and detailed sound designs into my own sounds. They always add that cutting edge I am missing and make my sound designs more unique and pristine.”

Enos Desjardins – Sound Designer/Sound Effects Editor (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Black Mirror)
“Slava has been creating some really cool libraries which I find myself using time and again. Really high quality recordings to start with but then the cool processing he has used for example in his cinematic whoosh libraries really stand out. They are not just your standard generic whoosh sounds but are loaded with character and have a unique feel to them that is really fresh and cuts through in the nicest of ways.”

Bjørn Jacobsen – AAA Sound Designer (CyberPunk 2077, HITMAN, DARQ)
“Slava has for several years made high quality sound effects for me to play with. I use his sound libraries across multiple projects as lego blocks of my creations.”

Ginno Legaspi – SoundBytes Music Magazine‎
“Cinematic Water Whooshes and Textures’ is great for anything. You won’t be hearing recordings of calm rivers or relaxing streams, but cinematic whooshes and textures for soundtrack works and media projects. Whether you’re into this type of sounds, this pack was recorded quite well, professionally edited and processed with Slava’s own flair.”

Yarron Katz – AAA Composer and Sound Designer
“Slava makes some wonderful libraries. He’s relatively new on the scene and his libraries have come to critical acclaim. He takes some general ideas, like whooshes and he injects some extremely revolutionary and innovative ideas to them, so you’re not getting another whoosh library – you’re getting something very unique, very fresh. He brings some wonderful ideas to the table.”

  • Metal Sound Effects Metal Worlds Play Track 706 sounds included, 207 mins total $99

The Metal Worlds sound library is a comprehensive collection of high class metal sound effects, ranging from short hits & squeaks to long textures and ambiences.

    Metal Worlds

    SOUNDS FROM A BUCKET

The centerpiece of this extraordinary metal sound library is a custom built instrument. A metal bucket has been attached to various guitar strings and clamped into wooden gallows. The recordings sound as creepy as the idea and range from deep, scary vibrations to unbearable squeaks.

    Bucket Instrument

    PLAYING A BUCKET

The bucket instrument has then been bowed, plucked and played with an Ebow, over a range of three octaves and in different styles & intensities. Different techniques have been used and abused to coax the most interesting sounds out if it.

Microphones were placed inside of the bucket for the boomy part and outside for the delicate sound content. Furthermore, a pair of contact mics had been attached to the metal surface.

After harvesting tons of interesting sound material, the crop was extensively edited and processed to create hits, transitions, ambiences & more.

    Bucket Instrument

    ULTRASONIC FREQUENCIES

With the additional use of Sanken CO-100K microphones, ultrasonic frequency content up to 100kHz has been captured and the squeakiest sounds have been pitched down to half speed before inclusion into this 96kHz sound library. You can pitch everything down one octave without trimming the full audible frequency spectrum. Unknown soundscapes are waiting to get discovered!

    Sanken CO-100K Microphones

    METAL PROPS

A big selection of metal objects like bells, singing bowls, huge metal plates and giant gongs have been played, hit and brought to vibration. Metal bars, springs, grids and other metal items have been scraped, rubbed, dropped, shaken and struck.

    Metal Plate

    DESIGNED SOUNDS

A part of the sounds already went through some heavy processing/layering, which created a selection of abstract soundscapes, haunting whooshes, unbearable horror squeaks and shocking impacts. These sounds are examples of the sound design opportunities possible with this rich audio material.

    Metal Objects

    LOOPS

76 of the mysterious ambiences, continuous scrapes, neverending drones and rattles are included as seamless loopable audio files. No trimming & fading needed – just drop, duplicate, extend.

A hell spawned collection of powerful zombie vocals; Guttural grunts, growls, bites, snarls, roars and screeches to cover nearly every zombie vocal need!

It’s been four long years since ShotgunMike’s The Undead was unleashed upon the unsuspecting sound community, leaving a trail of bloody sound designers in it’s wake. Well now they’re back in The Undead 2 and they’re bigger, angrier and hungrier than ever!

Based upon ShotgunMike’s extensive experience in game and cinematic sound design, The Undead 2 is a much larger collection of less defined but more varied powerful zombie vocals. Guttural grunts, growls, bites, snarls, roars and screeches to cover nearly every zombie vocal need. It also includes zombie hoard soundscapes in varying locations, including urban, interiors and tunnels.

So why less defined assets? Over the last four years since the release of the first The Undead library, ShotgunMike has worked on a lot of in game audio and cinematics, and it’s predominantly not pre-defined or over designed material he’s reached for when crafting the sounds of creatures (or anything else for that matter), it’s often texture, tonality, movement and intensity. To that end, making more varied content for The Undead 2 without putting too many labels on them will give sound designers and editors more choice and flexibility when designing their own creature vocals. With over 600 assets, including zombie hoard soundscapes, this library is full of the kind of material that will add power and aggression to zombies, trolls, ogres, orcs, vampires and any other hell spawned creature you can think of!

The idea behind this project was to gather a wide assortment of objects like saws, scissors and chalks, and to record their acoustic interaction with surfaces such as wood, glass, metal, concrete and gravel. We even came to vandalize a few musical instruments (snare drums, oriental percussions, cymbals and more) with hammers and knives in order to capture weird noises and unique musical qualities.

    MEDIEVAL LIFE – CONSTRUCTION KIT

MEDIEVAL LIFE – CONSTRUCTION KIT is a real treasure when it comes to quickly designing the background ambience of a movie or game scene. As the sounds are meant to create a convincing background soundscape, the source sounds were recorded in distance to the microphone to capture the original medieval environments and to provide you with a nice open room environment right from the start without having to add complex synthetic reverb or impulse responses.

Most of the sounds were recorded in authentic medieval environments in Germany. We went out to visit medieval heritage sites like ruins and castles. For the market place recordings we went to farmers markets around the cathedral in Mainz, Germany that was built around 975 A.D. A perfect place to capture the spirit of medieval market places.
On our trip we recorded the hard life of people living in this era. We recorded medieval farm sounds like animals, mechanics of old tools, hurly-burly on marketplaces, blacksmiths hammering metal and working with wood, church bells, voices and a lot more.

MEDIEVAL LIFE – CONSTRUCTION KIT with hundreds of single stereo source sounds from the categories ACTION, CRAFT, ANIMAL, WORK, VOICE, MECHANIC as well as hundreds of LOCATION recordings (some of them in Stereo and 5.0 Surround sound) has a size of more than 34GB. Hear the fourth episode below:

Sound effects libraries highlighted in this episode:

  • Travel & Transportation Ambisonic Steam Trains Play Track 55+ sounds included, 218 mins total From: $45

Ambisonic Steam Trains features recordings of 3 different narrow-gauge railways in Saxony/Germany where they meander through narrow valleys and bends.
The library includes more than 3.5 hours of recordings that are taken directly at the train drivers position in the cabin as well as from wagon platforms and passenger seats.
Also recordings of train pass-bys, shunting and service operations in the depot are included.
With the Ambisonic format it is guaranteed that the acoustically rich and diversified surroundings of steam trains in action are captured spherical in each and every detail.

Ambisonic Steam Trains is available in two versions:
    Ambisonic and Stereo

The Ambisonic version delivers 4 channel A-Format files recorded with the Ambeo VR microphone in upright position.
These files need conversion to B Format prior to further processing.

The Stereo version contains the same number of files with equal playing length, but, as the name suggestions, only in stereo versions. All takes are already decoded to 180° stereo that can be manipulated with any stereo width plugin.

    About Ambisonics:

This is an Ambisonics sound effects library – and by using the free SoundField SurroundZone 2 plugin you can convert the included A-format files into your preferred format (stereo, 5.0, 5.1, 6.0, 6.1, 7.0 or 7.1 surround). Note: The library also contains ready-made stereo mixdowns for your convenience.

  • Foley Sound Effects Castles Play Track 243 sounds included, 213 mins total From: $136

Sounds for the Castles library were collected in four castles – museums (medieval, renaissance and baroque) in southern Poland. My intention was to record sounds of old doors, furniture and every interesting prop I could find, in authentic acoustic environment. Some of the spaces were very reverberant, some just have a bit of ambience, but all are authentic and add specific colouration to sounds. Also, part of the sounds was recorded outside.

As always, visiting those places, I found many interesting characterful objects – most of them are heavy wooden or metal. So expect a lot of creaks and squeaks. Where I could, I recorded variations and versions from different POVs.

Another important part of the library are Background Activities.
Editing sound for films, I always find myself in need for adding some background life to scenes. We all love great foley, but having isolated background activities recorded in real spaces adds another level of realism. So wherever I found interesting spaces, we performed some activities and movements on old stone or wooden floors.

It’s not supposed to substitute foley, syncing it step by step. But it will help to create separate layer of atmospheres.

We also found medieval Torture Chamber, which inspired us to record some of the tools, distant movements of chains etc. but also some screams, all with real dungeon reverb.

Sounds recorded in locations such as:
    An armoury • blacksmiths • cellar • chamber • chapel • corridor • courtyard • dungeon • gothic hall • hallway • stairwell • torture chamber • tower

    Objects and activities include:
    A chest • chain • crate • door • floor • footsteps • handle • locks • metal objects • movement • stone • tool • trapdoor • window • wooden objects

    Sound categories:
    Doors – 145 files • BG Activities – 49 files • Props – 20 files • Furniture – 16 files • Screams – 12 files

    Note:
You can also get this library along with the Old Cottages library – at a special bundle price. Choose your preferred version below.
  • Creature Sound Effects STOMPS – Creature Footsteps Play Track 8500+ sounds included From: $299

We’re incredibly excited to introduce the ‘STOMPS – Creature Footsteps’ sound effects library – these are footsteps like you’ve never heard them before!

STOMPS is a massive collection of more than 8,500 files to boost your creativity and help you add special footstep sounds to your new project.

The library is organized into 3 categories –
    Source, Textures, Design:

In the Source category you’ll find the “best of” several hours worth of our recordings sessions, with more than 7,500 files (with lots of variations) organized into 83 folders. Every single sound is the product of a new recording.

You’ll find the sequences that include: 2 Legs WALKING, 2 Legs RUNNING, 4 Legs GALLOPING, 4 Legs TROTTING, and 4 Legs WALKING.

We used all kinds of weird props to record original, versatile sounds with lot of character, different textures, and in very different frequency ranges.

These sounds form the DNA of your future footsteps. You’ll have lots of different sound colours to play with, ranging from very small and harsh sounds to very low and bold ones, and all the ranges in between.

In the Texture category, you’ll find more than 600 sounds with different textures to help you customize your footsteps. These textures are also a very valuable sonic material that will help you construct lots of varying sound design work.

Finally, we have the Design category. Here you’ll find more than 500 processed sounds created by veteran sound designer Michel Marchant, covering a wide range of characters like Robots, Snow Creatures, Distant Dinosaurs, Rock Golems, Armies, Colossus and many, many more!

    Update: Glued version also included

STOMPS now also features a special GLUED version, with the exact same content but with variation files edited together to reduce the number of single files in the collection, and making search through all sounds easier.

With “STOMPS, Creature Footsteps,” you’ll have anything you’ll need to create everything from small creature footsteps to big, out-of-this-world ones.

The A Sound Effect Podcast Episode 1: The state of independent sound effects

In this very first episode, we’re talking with Paul Virostek from Airborne Sound, for a bird’s eye view of the state of independent sound effects, and why indie SFX are so useful. We’re also highlighting four very interesting sound libraries from the community. The interview with Paul starts around 10 minutes in.

Sound effect libraries highlighted in this episode:

  • We enter the next round of absolutely striking new SFX! CINEMATIC DARKNESS is the fourth release in our grand CINEMATIC series and is absolutely no less exciting than its predecessors: dirty BLASTS, scary DRONES, digital GLITCHES, synthetic SCREAMS, disturbing STUTTERS, creepy NOISE – the list continues as we have packed more than 15 GB of high-quality SFX into this collection.

CINEMATIC DARKNESS has been co-produced with sound designer Sebastian Johnson who left his footprints in the world of sound design starting in the 90s with the first commercial library for the Waldorf Microwave and sound design for Ensoniq, Clavia, DSI, and recently for more than 40 blockbuster trailers in the last 4 years such as Gravity, World War Z, Godzilla, Maleficient, The Hobbit, Transcendence, The Dark Knight Rises, Prometheus, Pacific Rim, Resident Evil 5, Star Trek & much more!

Our new library comes all nasty, disturbing & unsettling. It’ll shake you to the core & without a doubt it will power your next project. Evil, murky, harsh, synthetic and edgy are only a few characteristics of CINEMATIC DARKNESS. You have the possibility to customize this collection to your very own needs: the CONSTRUCTION KIT offers you high-quality source recordings to be creatively processed, while the DESIGNED version comes in handy with pre-designed, “ready-to-use” sounds, ideal for time-scarce projects. CINEMATIC DARKNESS is the next generation of evil SFX – add a wicked new tone to your sound pool!

  • MaK is a Kontakt instrument which replicates the sounds of a person using various computer keyboards, mice, or touchscreen devices. This allows you to very quickly perform the foley of using one of these devices via midi.

There are 15 devices available in MaK: 5 Keyboards, 5 Mice, 2 Touchscreens, and 3 digital keyboards. Each of these devices has been meticulously recorded at a number of different velocities for a very realistic playback performance.

The majority of the devices have 5 velocity layers; from soft to hard. Each of these velocity layers have 32 different samples: 16 for the press sound, and 16 for the release sounds of each device. That’s 160 samples per device! MaK will randomly trigger press and release samples for each layer based on the velocity you play the notes. Easy to use controls allow you to adjust additional layers of randomness in both velocity and pitch. All of this adds up to realistic devices, and convincing performance. This library requires the full version of NI Kontakt (not included)

  • Environments & Ambiences SEASIDE Play Track 16 sounds included, 50 mins total $16

Get the sounds of the sea – captured at different beaches along the Japan coast and the French Normandy coast. Recorded at the marina, pier, harbor, bridges and beaches, the SEASIDE library delivers around 50 minutes of waves, water, seagulls and more. All recordings are AB ORTF stereo, and there’s a mono center added in some cases to deliver a LCR format.

  • Metal Sound Effects MetalMotion Play Track 2000+ sounds included, 239 mins total $110

MetalMotion is a sound design construction kit that contains four hours of moving metal mayhem: clicks and clanks, rolls and drags, wronks and squeals, scrapes and rattles, ranging from from tiny to monstrous. Nathan Moody’s unique performances with unusual combinations of props produce everything from Foley-like movements to intense groans and howls.

Whether you’re covering a robot’s movements, sweetening weapon Foley, making crafting or pick-up sounds in a game, placing unusual layers beneath a kaiju’s roar, or crushing a submarine with undersea pressure, this collection covers the full range of subtle to raucous. Each file has many performance variations for creative choice and game audio asset creation.

While there are some tasty impacts within, this library’s true focus is on characterful movements: handling, rummaging, opens, closes, ratchets, swirls, rolls, drags, drops, spins, rubs, zuzzes, and bows. Metal containers, filing cabinets, modern appliances, vintage (and very rusty) tools, cymbals, bells, grills, plates, bars, rods, and tubes, and many other props lent their voices to this collection.

This UCS-compliant library was recorded with a combination of standard, contact, and ultrasonic-capable microphones through Millennia preamps. Sample rates vary based on the amount of ultrasonic content in each file. The audio files are mastered for realism, ready for extreme processing and pitch shifting of your own, but still useful in more grounded contexts.

  • Electricity Sound Effects Polarity Play Track 975 sounds included $72

Polarity delivers more than 950 sounds of electricity, science and technology – captured in several locations around the world, from electricity museums to science labs. About 50% of the library is all about electricity, with various types of Jacob’s Ladders, Tesla Coils, Ruhmkorff lamp and all sorts of impactful bursts of energy.

Then we go through welders, plasma spheres, 3D printers, starting to cover a more broad technology theme – like old phones, telegraphs, dynamo wheels, rotary dials, whirling watchers, alarm, lab centrifuges, something scientists call a roller and a rocker, servo sounds, neon lights, a wimshurst machine and sparklers.

Many sounds in this section were captured from vintage equipment, from a 1928’s tram to old telephone switchboards, high voltage levers and control surfaces.

All content was recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K, a couple of Sennheiser 8040 and a Neumann 81i, translating into final assets that have plenty of ultrasonic content, ready for the most extreme manipulation.

Bonus: Two extra libraries included for free:
This library also includes two additional releases from Mattia Cellotto - for free: Crunch Mode delivers 230 crunchy sounds made with a variety of vegetables, fresh bread, pizza crust and a selection of frozen goods. The Borax Experiment gets you 158 squishy, gory, slimy and gooey sounds.

    About Pottery Workshop

84 sounds that are clean, subtle and capture pretty much every object and action of the magic of fire and earth.

From the rhythmic hum of the spinning potter’s wheel, to the splash of water, the scrape of clay with the tools shaping and smoothing surfaces, listen up for the symphony of creation.

You will hear the tapping and thud of ceramic pottery, wooden ribs, wire cutters, loop tools, and sponges, all kinds of rummage, and mud actions on the potter’s wheel. The clicking and whirring of mechanisms during firing cycles add a mechanical counterpoint to the workshop’s natural rhythms.

You will get variations of sounds in different proximity, size, and style of action. This collection is handy due to the clarity and diversity of the raw sounds. They have both Foley and practical usability and room for further sound design.

You will get intuitive, detailed naming, UCS compatibility and the usual Vadi Sound craft and attention to detail in 84 pristine sounds. Recorded in 24bit-96kHz.WAV format on our favorite Sennheiser MKH 8040 stereo pair and Zoom F6.
