Once again a wild week for independent sound effects, as no less than 9 interesting SFX libraries have been added to A Sound Effect!
They range from fierce sword fights, shotguns, sci-fi sounds to natural-sounding whooshes, foley, mopeds, toys and more. And once again, I’ve included a highlight of 3 of most popular libraries from the past 7 days. Happy listening :)
Swordfighter is the 2nd release from Australia-based Squeaky Fish, and it gets you a ton of sword fight SFX – including 137 sword sounds, 93 surface impact sounds, 15 knife throwing sounds, 48 swooshes and 180 fighter vocals.
Mechanical Wave recorded a huge number of toy sound effects for this library – so if you need SFX that squeak, rattle, pop, shake, bounce, slide, drop, ring, click, crank or spin, this one’s worth checking out.
A classic SFX library from The Coil, finally available on A Sound Effect; it’s inspired by a concept of mechanical disrepair and emergent AI consciousness, and comes with both WAV files and Kontakt instruments.
Looking for shotgun sounds? This library gets you shots fired from a 12 Gauge Remington 870 Wingmaster shotgun + bonus tracks of shots fired using a Thompson Rifle muzzleloader and a Barnett Crossbow.
A huge new collection of futuristic weapon sounds, packing more than 1200 sound effects – including plasma shooters, weapon mech textures, designed game single shots, repeaters and loops, futuristic bursts and shell drops.
If you’re looking to design the sound of a warzone, here’s a library that delivers the explosion sounds. It comes with a total of 170 sound effects, categorized into beeps, explosions, beeping mine explosions, debris, low whooshes, whooshes, shots and whooshes + debris.
A collection of aggressive & distorted-sounding SFX from The Coil, delivering 225 sounds such as rhythmic elements, evolving textures, noise, distortion, spectral atmospheres and more.
This library gets you the sounds of everyday actions such as reading, drinking, eating, shaving, boiling water, handling glass items and more.
Here are the sounds of the Tunturi Maxi ‘Pappatunturi’, a Finnish moped model from 1974 with 2 gears and pedals.
This collection gets you whoosh sounds captured from sources like cloth blankets, jeans, leather and nylon jackets, fishing rods, boom poles, bamboo/wood/metal/plastic sticks + ropes with things like spatulas attached to one end (!), chains, a torch, and cars passing by.
