This week on A Sound Effect we have sounds for your horror films, military games, ski comedies, European documentaries, and more! You’ll hear a stabby collection, interior and exterior ambiences from cities and forests, a military game audio collection, and a downhill and cross-country skiing library. Plus, Reformer Pro is here, and you’re going to want to check it out. Happy listening!
'Cross Country Skiing' by Sounds Of Norway was recorded in a country where kids essentially are born on skis. In this library you will hear sounds of both downhill and trail skiing with fast passbys, slow trekking, climbing, fast stops, and even falling down. You also get sounds from different perspectives, as well as recordings from off-trail treks. Whether your characters were challenged to race down K-12, K-13, or Devil's Mountain, this library will help your skiløpere in any situation.
'Bloodbath' by PM:SFX will make your audience squirm in their seats. With 360 designed sound effects, you will get classic sounds of gruesome chopping, gushy slicing, quick stabbing, and lots of cinematic gore for your horror flicks and games. The library comes in two categories with 250 clean, lightly edited realistic sounds and 110 complex, multilayered sounds for the perfectly dramatic effect. Whether you have naive teenagers going to a cabin in the woods or a relentless fighting game, this is the visceral collection you need!
'EXT' by 3MAZE gets you quiet exterior ambiences from bustling cities and exquisite forests. With ambiences from all across Europe - from Malta to Lithuania to the Black Forest (one of the most beautiful places on Earth) - you will hear urban streets and alleys, city squares, parking lots, outdoor train stations, quiet parks, countrysides, lagoons, boats and canals, seashores, waterfalls, rain, and a lot more. All together you get over 9 hours of carefully recorded ambiences - it's hard to go wrong with this one!
'Reformer Pro' by Krotos Audio is a tool that has stolen the hearts of sound designers with its procedural, sample-based Dynamic Input technology. Reformer Pro can instantly expand your sound collection, not only since it lets you create quick and easy variations and evolving sounds through mic input, automation, and MIDI, but also because it comes with the 3.8 GB Krotos Bundle for free! It also includes an Analysis Tool to look into your own libraries and you can blend up to 4 libraries in real-time. Go check it out for yourself - you won't be disappointed!
'War UI' by Epic Stock Media is a massive collection (would you expect anything less from Epic Stock Media?) with over 1,700 sounds for your military games. With sounds of gear, weapons, and items, as well as notifications, alerts, cadences, transitions, buttons, killstreaks, upgrades, and more, you have more than enough to get your game on its way. Plus, you get sounds for character classes, like medics, engineers, comm specialists, and more! For over an hour of sound effects to get your players strategizing, check this one out.
3MAZE is on a roll this week, releasing their 'INT' library, too! Once again, you get over 9 hours of interior ambience recordings from Malta, Lithuania, and Germany, plus Belgium and Spain. You'll hear sounds from crowded marketplaces, empty shopping malls, train stations and airports, basements, cathedrals, old houses, offices, apartments, underground parking, and restaurants, giving you walla in English, French, Russian, Portuguese, German, and more. For a perfect companion to their 'EXT' library, give this one a listen.
