Rejoice! This week, five vehicle libraries from Airborne Sound have become available on A Sound Effect – and so has an interesting release from New Sound Lab. Here’s a look at 3 of the new libraries that give you everything from the rush of passing planes, the quiet hums of monorails to the everlasting spin of bicycles in transit.
Wheels & Gears from New Sound Lab has every sound you would think you could create from a bike, plus more. Featured in this library are sounds from practically every square inch of the Specialized Carve Expert mountain bike and the Bianchi Campione road bike, with the crunching, spinning and ringing of gears, chains, and wheels and even your childhood pastime of placing different items in the spokes.
Airborne Sound captured the quintessential personalities expressed by each of these mechanical pterosaurs for Aviation 1. With Sikorsky and Bell helicopters, 767 and 777 passenger jets, seaplanes, and fighter jets, this library contains sounds recorded inside and outside these crafts as they land, take off and pass by.
"Monorail, monorail, monorail… It glides as softly as a cloud," and Airborne Sound can prove it to you with Transit Trains 1. It features monorails, subways and street cars from all around the Americas - from Vancouver to New York City to Mexico City. Also included are chimes, doors opening and closing, bumps, screeches, stops, and announcements.
