This week on A Sound Effect, we have new libraries that are on the rare side! We have fun human imitations of animals, Moscow ambiences from all seasons, mechanical sounds of the doors and buttons from an old bus, complex designed debris, and more cats than you’ve ever heard before. Pedestrian Streets of Moscow

This sound library was recorded in Moscow’s downtown on 13 locations at different times of the year. 27 samples include the sounds of passers-by, steps and random conversations against the background of distant traffic, singing birds and other casual sounds.

It can be useful for audio post-production when working with movies, trailers or commercials in which it is necessary to convey the routine life atmosphere of Russian cities. All files are carefully selected and prepared. Metadata included in the archive – and the library is available in both a stereo and a surround version.

You'll hear pedestrians passing by, lots of distinctly Russian walla, distant traffic and church bells, urban wildlife, and much more. CRACKS is a large exploration of different cracking sound sources – cracking, crunching, breaking and creaking.
I have recorded a number of different materials, designed and processed to create some more aggressive, powerful and ready-to-use destruction sounds.
Bread, Cardboard, Celery, Ceramic, Chips, Glass, Ice, Icy vegetables, Leather, Paper, Pasta, Plastic, Polystyrene, Rocks, Snow, Wood.
The library contains over 444 sound files – around 2,5 hours of sounds included in total.
Originally recorded at 192 kHz with two Sennheiser MKH8040 and a Sound devices 702.

Each sound file has been carefully named and tagged for easy search in Soundminer and is Universal Category System (UCS) compliant.
