Masterclass: Inside the world of plugin development
December 8 @ 14:00 - 17:00 CET
From the industry’s most popular equalizers, compressors and even analog models, to award-winning reverbs, delays, effects, virtual instruments, surround sound tools and more. Yes we’re talking about.. Plugins!
Have you always wondered what is behind those plugins you always use? Are you interested in understanding the process of setting up an audio plugin company or do you even want to build your own plugin? Then this is going to be the right place for you to learn, talk and brainstorm about the wondrous world of plugin development!
Join Robin Reumers and Jeroen Dreessen from Leapwing Audio on December 8th at 14:00, to get an insight look in how they came up with their innovating plugin ideas and how they actually build it into pro-quality plugins, compatible with all major DAW’s. They will show and explain the tools required to prototype, develop and test plugins and will talk about obstacles they faced. Because in programming, the result is rewarding, but the journey is where you learn!
About Leapwing Audio
At Leapwing Audio, they love analog and they love digital. They also recognise that there are things you can’t do in the analog domain and understand that focus is key. You will not find them creating analog imitations. There are other companies that do this very well. They want to solely focus on tools that use the strength of digital to shape and improve sound. They created the plugins DynOne, the ultimate smart parallel multi-band dynamics processor; and CenterOne, which allows you to have full control over your center image without affecting the panorama.
Robin is managing the product development of Leapwing and is also the Director of Education at Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam. He truly loves everything business, always looking for new opportunities, expanding his network and walking around with tons of ideas. He has a background in audio engineering and mastering and is chief engineer for a studio in Amsterdam. He has worked as a CTO for one of the largest studios in Europe, was heavily involved in the development of a new immersive (3D) audio format and has over 9 years of experience in professional audio education.
Jeroen is managing the operational and technical aspects of the plugin development. He is the perfectionist, making sure every little aspect of our product works. He is a true techhead, graduated as an electronics engineer and has worked in 3D-audio, digital cinema systems, prototyping algorithms, home theatre systems and automotive audio tuning. In his spare time, he plays the guitar. He loves building things that enable people to make music, including his own electric guitar and effect pedals.
