An Evening with Simon Ashby, Cofounder of Wwise

October 17 @ 19:00 - 21:00 PDT

Wwise has been used in everything from Bioshock Infinite to Peggle, Borderlands to Bayonetta, Firewatch to INSIDE and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It is widely regarded as the most powerful audio middleware tool available.

Audiokinetic co-founder, Simon Ashby, is responsible for the product development of Wwise; the award winning interactive audio pipeline solution with over 10,000 users and 500 games currently in production.

Prior to Audiokinetic, Ashby was a Senior Sound and Game Designer at Ubisoft Montreal, where he worked on more than a dozen prominent projects. Due to his vast industry experience, Ashby is a frequent lecturer and panelist. He is well known for his focus on the role of sound production and integration within video games, and in 2011, Ashby was honoured with the inaugural Canadian Game Development Talent Award “Audio Professional of the Year”.
