This week, we have six new libraries available from the audio community on A Sound Effect. There are dark, abstract drones, as well as the anatomical sounds of bicycles, motorcycles, squeaky toys and vinyl players, and jungle animals that almost seem mythical in the wild!
How many parts does a bicycle have? I don't know the answer, but I'm fairly certain every section of a bike is covered in Lilesoundlibrary's new library. With over 650 sounds, 'Bicycles' features the chains, brakes, spokes, gearbox, saddle, pumps, gears, wheels, valves and more. It even has cycling ambiences which include passes, skids and falls. For fleshed out sounds of this two-wheeled machine, this collection is sure to have what you need.
Just try not to smile while listening to this library full of fun, rubbery toys. In 'Squeaky Toys', George Hufnagl from Sounds Like George recorded a slew of playthings to create this 190 file sound library. With rubber bones, pigs and chickens, cloth lobster claws and dogs, and several of different types of balls, this library has the goofy textures of play and a playful demo to go along with it.
'African Wildlife' has the growls, barks, screeches, yaps, tweets, chatters, roars and hoots of the wildernesses of Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. This library features the voices of the countless animals Daan Hendriks caught during his four months African adventure. If you're in the market for the calls of elephants, baboons, lions, rhinos, impalas, zebras, hyenas + insects, dozens of species of birds and more, look no further. And if you want to know more about this library, check out the in-depth interview with African Wildlife creator Daan Hendriks here.
Enter the axis points with this new library by the masterful designers at Detunized. Separated into two folders, North and South, 'Infinite' features dark drones, wide ambiences and textures beyond belief to give space to your background. Each file is loopable for maximum immersion, and the two Kontakt 4 instruments allow even more flexibility. For background drones that not only pad the silence but emote through your mix, this library will give your project the otherworldly sound it wants.
Want the roar of a Harley Davidson motorbike? Borg Sound's debut library, Harley Davidson Sportster Iron 883 delivers the sound of the Iron 883, with that distinct Harley sound. It comes with recordings of starts, idling, passbys at different speeds and onboard driving on both gravel and asphalt roads, a bunch of foley tracks, burglar alarm, false starts, on spot revving recordings and more - for a total of 38 minutes of motorcycle greatness.
Get that vinyl edge with 'Phono' by echo | collective. This library packs in the pops, hisses, crackles, buzzes and bumps from a machine that made an unpredictable 21st century come back. Featuring over 100 sounds, this specific library covers its subject fully, giving you the flexibility to implement its sounds however you choose. Whether you're adding hiss to a mock old-timey recording, giving a hip vinyl edge to an alt rock track, or bending and manipulating to create something never before heard, this library is a no-brainer for your collection.
